I know a simple way to reset windows password. Download a software on the internet and reset or remove the password with it. Yesterday, I also lost I windows 7 password, finally I reset it with Windows Password Reset 9.0 I think it is the easiest and safest way for resetting windows password.

Depends on where the password is.

If its just after PC switch on then CMOS battery will have to be removed AND mobo CMOS clearing jumper used.

If its just before window starts, you will need to reboot into safe mode and click on control panel, passwords and sometimes gain Admin control from there.

There is a hidden Administrator account that is created when your operating system is installed. Access that account and add your own account.

1. Boot your computer and press F8 repeatedly
2. Access Safe Mode
3. Key in “Administrator” in Username, with no password.
4. Go to Control Panel, then User Accounts
5. Create your account.

Now log on as administrator.

Hp's are really a pain. they only respond to the recovery disk that they are shipped with. you may be able to get a recovery disk from pawn shops in town i assume.
