There may be 3 to 4 load springs on the underside of the machine that attatches to the tub. if one of these breaks which often do on my machine. They will cause the machine to become unbalanced and bang.

The tub continues to go off balance in spin cycle. Starts out smooth then starts to wobble terribly til the UL shows and shuts down. Support rods are good

There is a little device inside the washer that allows the agitator to spin independent of the drum. If this gets stuck, the washer will try to spin the whole drum instead of just the agitator. This will cause the washer to think the load is too large or out of balance, causing the error code. On some Whirlpools this device is just a washer.

Load noise and will not spin out clothes

Good Morning PJ, this is AP with Electrolux.

Thank you for submitting your question concerning your Frigidaire front load washer, ATF6000ES. Typically if your washer is making a banging noise it could mean one or two problems, but primarily the tub is off balance or your washer is not level. In this regard, since the tub is spinning it would be advisable to reach out to a local service provider to properly diagnose your washer. You can often locate a qualified tech through the manufacturer website.

Ge profile (top-loaded)is making a loud banging noise when washing (agitating). I have already replace the agitator.

Your support bungees or tub shock supports are damaged or dislodged.
This manual will show how to check the tub supports.

Copy and paste this link for the manual.

Washer agitates off balance and makes a loud banging sound until movement stops at the beginning of rinse cycle, advice?

If it makes this noise in the agitate mode and not during the spin cycle, I would suspect that the transmission is going.

My Maytag goes out of balance and bangs loudly

This is usually due to the floor not being perfectly level, and as a consequence the washing machine not standing firmly on all 4 supports.
There should be at least 2 adjustable feet under the machine, try to make it stand as level as possible, with uniform load on all four.
If you have a bubble level it may help you establish, if there's an obvious slope on your floor and adjust the machine so that it's well levelled.
Good luck!

My Maytag Ensignia washer is not spinning well. It bangs side to side with even the smallest loads. It seems like something is loose. Is this something I can fix myself or do I need a repair mans help....

Try leveling the washer... If the washer is level, then don't wrap the clothes around the agitator...drop the clothes straight in, on top of each other evenly around the agitator. The Ensignia washer has a Dual action agitator... That means the clothes roll over them selves, instead of moving side to side, as with a traditional agitator. wrapping the clothes around the agitator will cause the load to be un balanced and then cause the "banging" noise... this should take care of the problem...
