The oil leak normaly would make the 'friction disc' inside the frame slip so as to not drive the axle.
Locate the oil leak
#1 engine crankshaft seal
#2 engine crankcase cover gasket
#3 engine overfull so that the excess oil is coming out of the crankcase breather tube and running down inside the frame

How do I fix my snowblower when the wheels won,t move ahead or back

Sounds like gear on axle shaft broke shear bolt or key. Take bottom plate off base of snowblower. It is ok to tip snowblown up on front end so wheels are in air. After plate is off turn wheels and see if drive gear is moving with axle. If not key way or bolt has broken off, replace and will be back in motion.

Snowblower won't go into gear after replacing wheels

Do you still have the original wheels? You should be able to see some mechanism through which the axle was "keyed" to the wheels so when the axle turns, the wheels turn with it. The new wheels don't appear to have such a mechanism. Take one new wheel off and compare it carefully to one of the old wheels. You should be able to spot the difference.

Honda hs55 when handle depressed blower fan moves at fast speedauger turns very slow.if auger makes contact with snow auger and blower fan stopsnew belt was installed no slippage of belt present

I suspect that all is needed is a little adjustment of the rod attached to the handle, which hooks on a lever at the bottom of the snow blower drive axle case. Try adjusting the nut two turns, that will pull the rod a little bit more and engage the rubber faced drive wheel, giving it a snugger connection. If this has been checked or still does not help, then I would check inside the case where the drive axle is located. There is a rubber faced drive wheel (as noted above), that runs against a smooth flat metal pulley. The rubber on the drive wheel could be worn out and not engaging properly. I would also check on the front of the case where you installed new belts to make sure that the brake shoe puck that connects to the auger pulley is not binding or perhaps has flipped out of its normal location.

2003 gmc envoy 4x4 problems. 4200 vortec engine. my front diff doesnt seem to be

The Selectable Four Wheel Drive (S4WD) Front Axle consist of the following components:
• Differential Carrier Housing
• Differential Case Assembly
• Inner Axle Shaft
• Intermediate Shaft Bearing Assembly (located on the right side of the oil pan)
• Electric Motor Actuator
The front axle on Selectable Four Wheel Drive (S4WD) model vehicles uses a disconnect feature mounted on the right side of the oil pan in order to engage and disengage the front axle. When the driver engages the 4WD system, the Transfer Case Control Module sends a signal to the electric motor actuator to energize and extend the plunger inside. The extended plunger moves the clutch fork and clutch fork sleeve across from the clutch fork outer gear that is splined to the right side wheel drive shaft to the clutch fork inner gear that is splined to the inner axle shaft. The locking of the two gears allows the axle to operate in the same manner as a semi-floating rear axle. A propeller shaft connects the transfer case to the front axle. The differential carrier assembly uses a conventional ring and pinion gear set to transmit the driving force of the engine to the wheels. The open differential allows the wheels to turn at different rates of speed while the axle continues to transmit the driving force. This prevents tire scuffing when going around corners and premature wear on internal axle parts. The ring and pinion set and the differential are contained within the carrier. The axle identification number is located on top of the differential carrier assembly or on a label on the bottom of the right half of differential carrier assembly. The wheel drive shafts are completely flexible assemblies consisting of inner and outer constant velocity CV joints protected by thermoplastic boots and connected by a wheel drive shaft.

My yardmachine snow blower 8hp auger won't turn. I replaced the cable and belt but it still won't turn. What else could be wrong?

Check the auger shear pins replace if necessary with correct parts(not regular bolts).
If auger and the impeller are not turning your cable is out of adjustment.
If only the auger doesn't turn, and the shear pins are ok then the brass/bronze gear has shredded which is why proper shear pins must be used. Donyboy73 on youtube show how to replace that gear on an older but similar MTD affiliated blower.

Need a rear end diagram for 1995 chevy cargo van 2 determine parts needed.Leaking throu tire

if you are leaking gear oil through the tire you need an axle shaft seal there is also a axle bearing there unless it is a full floating axle which means the axle has a flange on the wheel end that bolts on. if you go to the chevy dealership near you go to parts and they can print you out a break down of the axle according to your vin number on the van

On my two stage snow blower--main auger stops turning .

Hi, I figured out the problem. The gear transfer case between the augers must be broke. The auger spins slowly until it hits snow and then stops-- The discharge fan continues to spin fast. I will try to get a local handyman to fix it or else but a new machine, this one must be at least 15-16 years old.
I thank you for your help, it is a great service. ojohn
