Hello ikrambscs! The microcode is part of the computers BIOS that identifies the processor. To update the microcode you need to install the latest BIOS for your motherboard. You can go to Hewlett-Packard's download page HERE, select "Download drivers and software (and firmware)" and enter your computers model information. On the next page select your operating system. This will give you the download link for the latest BIOS for your computer.

Resolved by: Applying a new ROM BIOS to support the processor stepping. In other words, you need a BIOS upgrade. Contact your BIOS vendor and get support for your new processor.

This usually happens when a new system pcb is installed in the unit if you go to hp web site and go to support and drivers. Then select download drivers and software then enter the model number then pick OS the BIOS you will be given the Microcode.
Note there are many ways to update easiest is to find the usb boot disk as most pc dont have fdd's any more .
