The bulb has gone on my microwave. How do I change

Normal procedure is to remove case cover to access the bulb.

Usually several screws on the back and some partially hidden on the front to remove. Sometimes the screws require a Torx screwdriver.

Unplug unit and avoid touching any wires.

Replace bulb with exact type.

Just gone through it myself. Wife was trying to change the bulbs and broke them both leaving the screw part stuck inside. I took the whole bottom panel off. It is 5 screws and comes completely off the microwave. Makes things much easier access

normally there is a side door that can be removed to replace the inside light bulb, the microwave bublb is changed from a different location normally on the back.

You should be able to see the bulb, if not, then you have to unsrew the top and change the bulb by unswrewing it, then just buy a new one and put it on.

Apparently there's a flaw in the design. My light has gone out/ been changed roughly evry 9 months. No longer under warranty and cost to have someone come in and replace is outrageous. Light bulb is located on top of the oven. You need to remove the top to get at it. Looked fairly easy.

The light bulb is shown in the "LATCH BOARD PARTS" diagram and it's located in the area of the door switches.

Manufacturers used to include access panels in the rear or side so you could easily change the bulb. That exposed the customer to 110V connectors, and that posed a real liability threat, so they stopped using them.

You now must generally remove the outer cover to replace the bulb.

It's best not to touch the bulb with bare skin, as the oils can shorten thee bulb's life. And I recommend a high quality bulb from places like Home Depot, instead of cheap types from the grocery store.

open the housing, look where the bulb is located, unscrew the holder of the bulb and if the b.ulb is screwed at the holder, replace it. if the bulb is attached to the holder then replace the whole bulb assembly. i hope i was able to answer your problem
