Krups aroma I am not sure how to get the coffee maker open to put coffee into the machine. How can I do this.

Hi john you need to replace circuit board that has timer and auto shut-off I have same problem krups doesn't think it is a safety issue because the coffee maker has a thermal switch. But I still think it is. Also if you are not carefull when you fill with water it will staem back in your face!

Yes!!! by the word lid do you mean the top or swing out filter holder? If you use small flat screwdriver you can expand plastic at hinge enough to pull apart!

Try following the manual directions, be sure to add water, coffee in the filter, plug in, and turn dial clockwise until red light goes on.
