The Oven Controls 1. Top Element of Oven on/off switch Use this switch to turn the top element of the oven on or off. Down is on. Note that the top element is independent of the oven temperature control knob, so it must be turned off at the end of cooking. 2. Grill on/off and grill temperature knob Use this knob to turn the grill on and set its temperature. Push to knob in to move it away from its off position. The off position of this knob overrides all other grill controls. 3. Oven on/off and oven temperature knob Use this knob to turn the oven on and set its temperature. Push the knob in to move it away from its off position. The off position of this knob overrides all other oven controls. 4. Oven light on/off temperature Use this switch to turn the oven light on or off. Down is on. 5. Timer set button (bell symbol). Press this button to adjust or observe the timer 6. Cooking time set button (steaming oven symbol) Press this button to adjust or observe the cooking time 7. Cooking time set button (oven symbol with STOP written over it) Press this button to adjust or observe the stop time 8. Manual control button. (A hand symbol, with the palm towards you) Press this button to revert to manual control of the oven 9. Time set knob Twist this knob clockwise to increment the time and anti-clockwise to decement the time. When the minutes reach 0 or 59 they will roll over and the hours will increment/decrement. 10. Automatic control indicator Lit when the oven is under automatic control. Flashes when the programmed actions have finished. 11. Hours digits Shows the number of hours 12. Oven active under automatic control indicator Lit when the oven is element is on under automatic control 13. Minutes digits Shows the number of minutes Timer The timer counts down a number of minutes, then sounds a beeper for one minute. To set the timer, or change a running timer, press and hold the timer button. While holding the button, twist the time set knob to increase or decrease the duration. Release the timer button and the timer will start counting down. To observe the time remaining press the timer button only. Note. If the timer is running then readjusted the seconds count will be reset to zero. Automatic Control Cooking time allows the oven to cook for a predetermined time. Stop time allows the oven to turn off at a particular time of day. They may be set independently so the combination of the two allows the oven to start and stop at some time in the future. The AUTO indicator will turn on when the cooking time or stop time have been set. The oven active indicator will come on when the oven is cooking under automatic control. Once the oven has stopped cooking the AUTO indicator will flash. Cooking Time Set the oven up using the oven temperature knob and top element switch. Press and hold the cooking time button. While holding the button, twist the time set knob to increase or decrease the duration of the cooking time. Release the button. Cooking time is now set. To observe the stop time press the cooking time button only. Note that if necessary the stop time will automatically increased so the oven has enough time cook for the requested duration. In this case the oven will start immediately and turn off after the requested duration. It doesn't matter whether the oven temperature is set before or after the cooking time is set, as long as you don't mind losing a small amount of cooking time. Stop Time Set the oven up using the oven temperature knob and top element switch. Press and hold the stop time button. While holding the button, twist the time set knob to move the stop time further into the future or closer to the current time. Release the button. Cooking stop time is now set. To observe the stop time press the stop time button only. Note that if the stop time is set without setting the cooking time the cooking time will automatically be set to the oven starts immediately and stops at the requested time. If the stop time is decreased, the cooking time will be automatically reduced if necessary to meet the requested stop time. It doesn't matter whether the oven temperature is set before or after the stop time is set, just that the oven might turn on briefly before the cooking time is set. Reverting to Manual Control Once the oven has finished it the beeper will sound. To stop the beeper push any one of the timer, cook time, stop time or manual buttons. At the end of the cooking program the AUTO indicator will flash. To return the oven to manual control push the manual control button. When the oven reverts to manual control it will do whatever the oven control knob and top element switches are set to. Cancelling a Program If you wish to terminate a running cooking program, you must first set the cooking time to zero or the stop time to the current time. Next push the manual control button. Setting Time of Day Press and hold any two of the timer, cooking time or stop time buttons. Use the time set knob to set the time. Release the two buttons. The clock will start running (with a zero second count) from the time you release the buttons.

Simpson Neptune, atlas series electric oven isn't working.

Hi If you have Simpson Neptune 3U 602 then it may be to do with the timer function. This also happened with my oven.

There is a red section on the face of the clock. The oven seems to work if it shows the hand icon. I'm not sure what it symbolises yet, as it's a new oven for me, but it is now working. You can change the icons by turning the left nob left and right. Hope this helps.

Need a manual for Simpson Ezi Set Upright GAS Oven/Stove. Think the Model No. is 62F851W. The stove top has 4 burners. There is a griller in the oven. The griller and oven have piezo(?) ignition. ...

Thank you I have contacted simpson directly to obtain your manual from the manufacturer I will look for there response tommorow and message you my contact mail information when it is sent from them. And if you have to use a match on top to light the burners you would first assure that you have spark if you have no spark then you would look at the spark modulator which is what most stoves use to send the current to the electrodes to create the spark. If you did have spark you would then need to check each electrode or ignitor to assure that they were not cracked and they were functioning properly. If you have any questions message me back or I will be posting as soon as simpson responds to my contact of them.
Thank you

Simpson Atlas Apollo ceramic top stove, Digital clock etc. Just installed. No user guide to set clock etc. Oven wont work, suspect clock needs setting. Can I get a user guide?

Hello, I think I have the same oven as you, and yes the oven doesn't seem to work unless the clock has been set.

On my oven, there are 4 buttons and a dial below the digital clock.
To set the clock, you need to turn the dial whilst holding any two of the 4 buttons down.

For me it's a two handed job.

Cheers,

Michael

Stove top pilot light

I have a GE Gas Stove XL44 the stove top buners don't light by themselves without manual lighting. When I turn on the buner knob the buner doesn't click. Also I used my self- cleaning oven for the first time and stopped it before the time was up after that is when the stove top buners wouldn't light by theirselves.
