You can recover windows password with windows password recovery tool. I know a tool named "windows login recovery" that can remove windows password without losing any data and you needn't reinstall windows OS. Download it from http://www.windowsloginrecovery.com and burn the program to a blank CD or a usb flash drive, insert the CD into the problem computer and reset your password to “Blank”. By the way, it is also useful to recover administrator password.

I bought a used PS3 at a pawn shop. How do I sign up for a PlayStation Network account if the system only says sign in and has the old users email address in there.

From Google:
"From the top level of the PlayStation 3 Home Menu, go to Settings > [System Settings] > [Restore Default Settings]. Once you select [Restore Default Settings], you will see a list of settings that will be restored. Scroll through them and press torestore the settings.Jul 20, 2017"

If you search Google for: "factory reset a PS3" you will find only 1,920,000 other results.

Won't login

when your netbook starts up, press f8 and from the following menu, choose to start using safe mode with gui. If you have specified an administrative password at the time of windows installation, use that to log on. If you have not, you should be able to simply log on with the administrative account. Now, go to the control panel>user accounts and create a new user account. Now, you should be able to logon using the new user account. Make this one an administrative/standard account instead of a limited one. When you logon using this account, you should be able to get your data of the previous account from C:\Users\<previous profile name>... You can take backup of this data and then delete the previous user profile to avoid further confusion.

Hope this helps.

Bought a laptop of someone the make is a dell i will describe to you everything it has written on it top left hand corner it says Inspiron 6400 with a button next to it saying media direct in the bottom...

You are asking a whole lot here.
From what I understand, you are running Windows XP. The previous owner has not removed his name from the system.
You want your name to show up as a user.
You want the previous owner's info gone.

Do this:
Go to the control panel and to the Users icon. Create a new user (you) as an admin.
Now log off of Windows and log back on as you. Go back to the control panel and the users icon.
Click on the previous owner's name and choose "delete account." Do not save the data. Just choose delete.
This will delete the user and all his data.
This should do it for now.

How to disable and make a passwords

There's a lot of ways of adding/editing/removing a password on a certain user account on your computer. I'll be give an advance way but should be the easiest thing to do.
Holding the windows key(the key on your keyboard that shows the windows logo) and pressing "R" will open the User Accounts window. It will also show all the available user account/profile on your computer bourngenius_11.jpg

Simply select the user account/profile that you want to edit/ add a password. If you want to delete the password simply select the account and click on the reset password button then leave the password textbox blank/null
Note: This will work if you have admin rights

I got a used computer, previous owner unknown. It has a Lexmark 5000 printer installed. I do not have access to the administrator user password and this is preventing me from installing my Lexmark X4270...

There are workarounds and ways around the admin password and if you can get in and create another user profile with admin rights. You can google software to crack admin local Windows password to reveal it. There are also boot discs that can crack it instantly which actually deletes it and changes it something you want. The last resort is reinstalling the Windows OS.

I bought a used computer. The computer is asking for password.

Hi. Try to access the windows advanced option by turning the computer on and keep tapping F8. If you see the choices how to boot the system, select Safe Mode then press enter.

Log in as Administrator. It should not ask for a password. Go to the control panel and open the User account of user profiles. Click on the previous owner's profile and delete it. You may also create your own profile while your on safemode.

Hope that will help you!

I Need helpseeting an adminstrator account up on a used computer

Open control panel and create a new user account with administrator privileges. Log off the previous user and logon to the one you just created. Then delete the original user and this should set everything as default for you the new user.

If the password prompt is in a browser ie, Internet explorer or Firefox you will need to remove the addon (sounds like parental controls).

The only way of changing the registered owner would be to complete a fresh install of windows.
