Outer keypad of motorola A630 does not function properly.

The key combination you looking for to close any window or message in a Windows environment is ALT+F4, depending on the type of keypad the Motorola MC3190G are using.

48-Key Keypad

The ALT functions are indicated in blue on the keypad, so in order to use these, you have to activate the ALT Functions first by pressing the BLUE BUTTON (FUNC) (Right side below ENTER button) and then press the CTRL BUTTON (left side below BKSP button).

After the key combination is pressed, the ALT icon appears on the taskbar on WinCE devices or the ALT icon appears at the bottom of the screen on Windows Mobile 6.5 devices.

Now you can press the "D" button to use F4, this will close any window or message that is currently in view.

38-key Keypad

Press the blue FUNC BUTTON (Right side below RIGHT ARROW button), and then press CTRL button (Middle below UP ARROW button), now you can press the F4 button.

28-Key Keypad

Press the blue FUNC button (Bottom right next to Power button), and then press the CTRL button (Top right side below RIGHT ARROW button), now you can press number 4 to use F4.

In order to use the TAB function, do the following:

28 Key Numeric - Press the blue FUNC button (Bottom right next to Power button), and press the RIGHT ARROW button.

38 Key Shifted Alpha - Press the blue FUNC button (Right side below RIGHT ARROW button), and press the RIGHT ARROW button.

48 Key Alpha Numeric - Press the blue FUNC button (Right side below ENTER button) and press the number 9 button.

Hi,What causes the phone the screen of the phone to go black and the keypad light not coming on, is because the flex of the phone that is connected to the screen and allows the keypad to function is bad and will need to be replaced .When you replace the flex,the phone will work properly again.

This can be fixed. The problem you are facing right now is with in the internal circuit which is placed below your keypad of your mobile. The circuit is sometime damaged because of some lubrication enters into it or because of excessive power applied while pressing the keypads. You just need to show your mobile at a repair store and he will fix your circuit. Once the circuit is repaired your mobile will function properly as it was working before.

had the same problem! it is just a magnet that goes on the lid of the phone, just put that magnet on place again and the problem should be solved!

Press menu and then the star button. That usually locks all motorola phones

It is the problem of your ribbon flex that is connector..
If you have not a good hand you cant do it. Take it to a Motorola Repair Center.
