Water is trickling down through where the ice dispenser depressor sticks out of the freezer door. The ice is getting soft. Water is trickling down under the framing for the ice /water dispenser on the freezer door.

By not being there seeing the amount or flow rate i'm not sure but from where your saying it's coming out, It sounds like this is either condensation from behind the framing or the flap that closes when your not getting ice is not closing. This could be a broken spring but if the flap is closing. There is a heater blanket behind the framing that heats and dries the condensation out. If it goes out, water will leak out from where your describing. Try going to www.partselect.com and enter your model number. This should bring up diagrams of your unit. See if there is a heater that goes in your model. if there is, I'm pretty sure it will be bad and need replacing.

I have a samsung cool n cool american style fridge freezer with two tabs on the front. One for cool water and one for ice. The water works perfectly but no ice is being made to fill the bucket, why is

If the refrigerator water dispenser (or ice) is not working correctly the water supply tube(s) may be blocked. This will be difficult to track down. Look for a connection point at the bottom or top of the door, try removing the hose and blowing air through it and out the dispenser. Next it could be the water valve that sometimes has twin valves for ice and water combined (this is most likely the culprit) , third is low pressure into the line (bad main valve) or clogged filter... you need about 20psi for function. Last is the door switch (try this first), when the freezer door is opened the freezer door switch does two things, it turns on the light in the freezer and turns off the ice and water dispenser. If the door switch fails the dispenser will not turn on or may just dispense one item. The switch can be checked for continuity with an Ohm meter. If it doesn't have continuity it should be replaced.

I have a side by side refridgerator freezer. I have just connected the water to the ice make / water dispenser for the first time and just a short trickle of water flows into the ice cube maker - not

I would guess that you need to purge the air out of the lines and system for it to work correctly. You can hold down the water dispenser for awhile to help, but if you do nothing, it should purge itself over the next few days.

The ice and/or water won't stop coming out the door when the back soft panel area is pressed. Either ice or water keep coming out when the back is pressed with a glass until door is opened. When the door...

It sounds like the actuator for your dispenser switch is sticking. To fix it you will need to get inside the dispenser housing, which involves removing the decorative front panel on the dispenser.

It's kinda tricky to get this thing apart, and it's even harder to get it put back together if you've never done it. I'd recommend calling a repairman.

No water from dispenser

I had the problem with the water dispenser not working.i tried all kind things finally I figured out the water was freezing ing the door. I cut a piece of 1/2 styro foam out that covers right below where the ice is dispensed just a square and use double sided tape to stick it to the back side of the door and haven't had anymore problems.

Purchased a GE Profile bottom freezer April 08. Has indoor water dispenser. Changed the water filter 60 days ago. Since then the amount of cold water dispensed has slowly decreased to a trickle. There...

Disconnect the water line where it comes out of the water inlet valve and see how the flow is when you try the dispenser. Disconntct the water line at the bottom of the freezer door where it goes into the door. If it flows good here it may be freezing in the door. Open the door till it thaws.
If it's good at the inlet valve and slow at the door, some models have a way to put a plug in and bypass the filter.

Kenmore Coldspot 10650522100 - water not getting to icemaker

look and inspect closely why the water is not going down the ice tray. maybe the soft hose to lead the water down to the tray is kinked or broke.

check also if there are still ice in the tray, they could have not dropped yet that is why water is just overflowing on the tray.

tnx 4 using fixya,

Kenmore Refrigerator stopped dispensing water

Look up through the ice despencer on the front door of the freezer. Is the flapper door open? If so it needs to be fixed. If its not then try leaving the freezer door open for 3+ hours to defrost the frozen line in the door. If that doesnt work, the water valve must be changed.(located behind fridge, take off back cord board panel at bottom, the valve is blue)... GOODLUCK!
