Clt2054 Sanyo vizon 20" TV
At power on my screen blinked on for a second, then went black for a minute or so, then blinked back on, this repeated. I noticed the external 12 volt dc 5 amp power supplys green light blinked on & off with the TV but it blinked off just before the TV did, indicateing that the problem was a power supply problem. Then I put the PS transformer up to my ear and could hear it buzz as it powered on each time. The buzz increased in frequency rapidly then stopped as the internal heat fuze/thermister er something, shut it off for a minute untill it reset. A person could buy a new Power Supply transformer for $14 to $40, or could try to fix their PS. But I simply hooked it up to a 12v car battery & the TV worked. On the back of the transformer is the pinout for the 12v 4 prong plug that goes into the TV. On the TV the bottom 2 pins a 12v+ & the top 2 pins are 12v negitive. Nails with the burrs filed off fit into the sockets, a strip of thin card board between the pos & neg nails for an insulator, & aligator clip jumpers on them to the battery got me a working TV. So I now know it was a power supply problem. I could follow the advice of others on this great FixYa site & try to fix my PS capacitor problem ? Or buy a new PS, or just put the TV in my 12v veggie oil diesel magic buss, er camper thingie. AND please don't send anyone $19.99 for free advice.
I hope this helps someone in somehow.

I'll tell you how I solved it for $19.99
Try buying a new AC Adapter, I bought one from E-bay a replacement one, but the polarity is reverse, if your good at reversing the polarity this'll work.
