How do I mount the router to the B&D Router table?

I have a craftsman router and table. On mine you remove all the screws from the base plate, set the base plate aside and use same screws to mount the router to the underside of the table.

Default Login Id & Pass will be printed on your dish router.
Open the web browser &go to the page using the add printed on the router, followed by Login Id & pass.
There you will have the option for resetting the pass.
Finally reboot the router.

Brenda, They are just saying that if the router is too big, it won't fit. The sub-base is the plastic, usually black, disc on the bottom of the router. This disc is about 6 inches in diameter and about 3/16 inches thick. It is usually held onto the base of the router with three screws. The base is the big aluminum piece about the size of half a loaf of bread that has the handles and into which the router main part (the motor) slides into. For most router tables, you mount a router base (with the sub-base removed) to the underside of the table with screws. The router table becomes a giant upside-down sub-base. If your base fits, and the screw holes line up, you are good to go. However, it is very helpful to have an extra router base (without handles) to leave permanently attached to your router table so that you can easily swap the router between the table and normal use. I have done exactly the same thing. Craftsman Router table and Skil Router.

The problem seems to be the plastic foot plate on the router is bigger than the circular frame on the bottom of the Craftsman router table. On my Foot Plate, the holes seem to match up OK.

What I am going to do is take the plastic Foot Plate and router the edge down about 1/8 inch to make it fit in the frame. I have several Foot plates, so this is not a problem to reduce the size of one.

I purchased all of these items at different times from a 2nd hand store and thought (naively) that they should all be some standard to make them all fit. Seems like at least Craftsman has their own set of standards to make things difficult.

have you tried sears for the collet and nut, should be able to get it there , on on line from there., As far as manual, what questions did you have., I can help.

I would set it up in 'router' mode. Bridge mode is for a specific application for an intranet (not internet).

After connecting modem(1) to router (2) connect your computer (3).
(4) Power on your modem, wait for modem to cycle(approx 2 minutes)
(5) Power on your router.
(6) Insert your CD - Click Router Setup & follow steps to setup secure wireless network...

1. Enter the router User Name admin & default password password to open your router's main settings page.
2. Main settings page, you'll be asked if you want to "Check for Update". Click Cancel. ( you can always check for new firmware after you're connected to internet)
3 Choose first menu item on left; Setup Wizard & make sure YES is selected
click NEXT, follow prompts complete setup.
SET UP WIRELESS SECURITY

• 1. From main page choose Wireless settings
• 2. Name your network- something easy to remember (Hint* People see it when you are up & running, write it down as well!) {The default name is NETGEAR}
  
• 3. Select your security method. NETGEAR recommends: WPA-PSK(TKIP +WPA2-PSK (AES).
• THEN, enter a Pass-phrase {Write down also, you will get e-mail confirming registration etc... But, BSTS.
  
• NOTE: Both your Network Name (SSID) & Pass phrase are case sensitive. Network name, Security method & Pass phrase must all be the same on all the wireless devices connected to your router.

• 4. Click APPLY & close your browser.

Depending on your cable/internet provider- if these instructions don't do it,
one of their agents should be kind enough to assist?
I was lucky enough to have them do it with me over the phone, after I had surgery & got sick of looking of the thing in the box in my floor!

I have a Craftsman professional router table, laminated model 26608. I can not find a parts manual for this item. I tried a number of way to find parts for this item. I believe this was made by Bosch. I can not purchase a Router table mounting plate for this item. it measures 7" x 8". with a center hole of 3". also 3" insert rings. Bosch and Sears makes items for a professional router but the center hole is 3 3/4 inches and the plate is a lot larger in width and length. I have gone to Bosch on the internet and came up with a model RA1171. This is a model like the one I purchased; however, they have changed the size of the adapter plate and the center rings. the model no. they show is 29LCN1428.

I searched for an answer to your question, but found no good answers. It may be that you can only use certain routers with this table.

I wrote a long response to your question, which apparantly has been lost in the web somewhere.
Try to make sure the detachable power cord is properly connected, and twisted 1/4 turn clockwise to lock in place.
Make sure the toggle switch is working freely.
Make sure the collet lock or spindle lock is not engaged.
If that doesn't help, please write back and I'll try to re write a troubleshooting guide for you.
