That is not a radio. That is a control head. The 7 wires carry data to the radio brain which on this trucks is a silver box located directly above the gas pedal. These trucks also had an optional cassette player/ cassette and eq unit that was mounted in the center of the dash that also connected to the radio brain as well.

Is this a stock GMC radio you are putting in your Sierra, if so, visit the scosche or PAC website to see if they have one available. If you are installing an aftermarket radio, then you need to purchase a wiring harness. It will have the color coding on the package. You have to unplug the old radio. The radio isn't the part in the dash. That is just the control to the radio. The radio is actually under the dash above the accelerator pedal. It should have the power wires, speaker wires and antenna wire going to it.
