The light bulbs inside my LFC25760SB are staying on constantly, even with the doors closed. In addition to warming the food, this has also caused melting of the plastic parts surrounding the bulbs. I can replace the melted plastic, but how to fix the light permanently?

You have a bad main board with a relay stuck shut. Call an LG dealer and ask them if there is a service bulliten on your model. If there is, your parts are free.

Testimonial: "This is exactly right. Both the parts and labor were covered by LG, even though the fridge is almost 3 years old."

How to replace lights on refrigerator LFC25760SB

In the LG bottom freezer refrigerator (model LFC25760SB), the light bulb covers inside the refrigerator and freezer compartments are attached using friction-fit clips.

It will be safest to unplug the unit, or shut off the circuit breaker. You may also need to remove Items, including the top 1 or 2 shelves.

Push the front of the cover gently toward the back of the refrigerator; LG's instructions show a screwdriver, but I would use something more flexible like an expired credit card or emty gift card. Swing the cover down to unhook the clips at the back.

Be careful with the bulbs, as they can get very hot, particularly if it takes some time to clear the way to the cover and get it off. I would close the door and wait a few minutes to let the bulbs cool off before removing them.

LG has a downloadable manual on their website that shows the procedure and gives the bulb specs (60 watt appliance type).

Hello, I have a GE Prolife side by side refrigerator PSF26PGSA BB and I notice that the refrigerator side has ice build up on the back wall of it in the inside. Can you please help, could it be the...

Where exactly on the back wall of the fresh food compartment(refrigerator) is this ice build up? If its building up in the air vents, that usually indicates a warm air leak, and this additional warm air is creating condensation, read ice, where it meets the colder air. There is no defrost heater or sensor in the refrigerator, all the cooling components that need to be inside the cabinet are located in the freezer. To check for warm air leaks, check to see that your light switch turns the light(s) off, check that the door actuates the switch when its closed, you will have to close door and squeeze part of the gasket to see if the light stays on. Furthermore, check the door gasket itself, make sure there are no gaps, rips or other malformations. Check that the bottom part of the gasket is not sagging, or the hinge side corners are not bunched up, or stretched out from the corners. Also, let the door close by itself like normal, and check the lower portion of the non hinge side of the gasket, if there is a gap here, further check for scratches on the bottom inside liner, not the door, inside the bottom of the fresh food compartment. If there are scratches here, this indicates the door is rubbing on the bottom because its too low, indicating a problem in the lower door hinge area. You dont mention any refrigerator freezer temperature problems, so it does not sound like a defrost problem or an issue with an evaporator fan motor failure.

Fisher & Paykel Fridge Freezer E402B beeping when door closed

If the cabinet is warm inside it is a failed circulation fan, failed defrost causing the evaporator to freeze up, or it needs a refrigerant gas top up.

Beeping is just an alarm. It may be because of the more serious issues listed above but can also be caused by a failing door gasket, the door being left ajar (kids are famous for this) or the door has been left open too long deciding what to have for dinner.

I hope that answers all 8 of you :>D

Light stays on when door is closed

The GE GSL22JFPH refrigerator door gets lower over time. When it gets low enough the light stays on when the door closes. There is a vertical bolt along the hinge line. Push down the hinged plastic "hinge cover" under the door right on the hinge line and you can get a wrench on the bolt to raise the door. I have to do this every 6 months/
