Long pause changing channels

I have a new Insignia LCD 32TV and when I change channels there is a long pause of about five seconds before the channel actually changes. During the pause, the screen is black. Any help would be appreciated. EP

This is the muting feature. Many of these TV's use this to avoid showing noise and putting noise out to the speakers.

Run the auto-setup from the menu. This should allow the set to know the channel layout, and thus it may respond faster. Consult the user book for the auto-setup or auto-channel features.

Slow changing channels

Same with our Insignia (19" LCD). Takes forever to change channels, and sluggish as heck in general. The viewing angle is poor, and the screen is not adjustable... We have a paperback book under the back part of it's flat base, so we can actually see the picture, without distortion and the shiny, aka "off the optimal viewing angle" silvery look. The picture (when watching it straight-on) and sound is fine, but the slow/sluggish performance, the tiny info and memo text, etc. makes it pain to use. Yes, It was "only" $100 + tax, but it should have a better, more acceptable performance and feature set.

I have no picture on my 15" LCD Insignia TV. My

You may have a burnt out blacklight... You can fix it easy by having the tv on while it’s a bright picture than quickly unplugging it... or it would be best to get a new TV.

Insignia/tvflat32" automatically channel will change to ch8

i hve the same tv and the same problem. heres the fix; you must take off the back cover so you have the back of the lcd exposed. its about 30 r so screws to get it all off. once you have the back panal off look at the side where the power button channel button and volume ect. button are. follow the wire thats connected to that, to the motherboard. simply unplug this wire from the mother board and use your remote control to change channels and power on off the unit from now on.

Insignia Ns LCD-19 Turns on but no sound or picture

Insignia is Best Buy's store brand which is an LG tv. The power supply board needs to be tested to see if all the voltages it produces are present. If they are, then look at replacing the main board.

No Non-Hd sound

I had the exact same problem on a brand new Insignia 26 " LCD with DVD. Comcast tech was able to fix it by changing the Comcast box diagnostics. Here is what he did. Using the Comcast remote with the TV on - press power, cable, menu in that order. A comcast diagnostic srceen will appear. Select Additional HDMI options, then audio options. Change the audio options to L-PCM. Press power again to exit the diagnostics. That will fix it and you get to use the HDMI cable.

Insignia 32 inch LCD TV: Can not change Channel or Volume !

I have one in my shop with the same problem. Power is the only function that works. I repaired the power supply six monts ago. Now it looks like a bad digital processor board which is non-repairable. I can't believe what's happened to the tv business. Absolutely disgusting!
