Just hooked tub up and it won't work all plumbing has been hooked up, electrical, you press the on button-nothing happens, is there a master switch?

this sure has all the suspicions that it's the thermal safety switch , (1) it worked on last load
(2) nothing happens when start is pushed
( 3) tub light works ok

both gas and electric models have one , and they both do go bad , the switch is mounted usually at top of air outlet tunnel on back of dryer , some do have reset buttons , but rarely do they trip for false reasons , something musta happened to cause a high heat build up in dryer ,Lint build-up is most common reason I can think of

Sounds to me like the switch is bad. I would have a plumbing or electrician come out and check the controls to see if they are working and double check the motor to make sure it is not the problem.

yes. the air button sends a column of air down a small tube attached to the bottom of the button and the other end of the tubing is attached to the air switch in the motor.
Once you push the button, if you get a good column of air it activates the air switch in the motor and turns it on. Push it again and it turns the pump off.
If the air button bellows, located inside the button, has a hole in it then you will not get enough air pushed to the air switch to activate it. The same thing happens when trying to turn the motor off.
first thing to check is the air switch in the motor. Pull the pump and plug it into an electric outlet.
take a straw and press it on the air switch then give a good blow into the pump. If the pump comes on then the the air button on the top of the tub is bad.
If the pump will not come on then the air switch in the motor is bad and needs to be replaced.

probably already solved this but yes, you can put a heater on any bathtub that has water jets.

Most of the control buttons on a tub are not electrical. These buttons are connected to an air line that runs to the motor. Sometimes an aggressive button push can literally blow the air line right off of the bottom of the button.
This problem is as easy to fix as it sounds. Find the loose air line and push it back onto the button. You will need to open up your access panel. Bring a flashlight. Good luck

I imagine the clicking you are hearing is the relay at the end of the switch (air or electric) that is trying to turn power on the the pump. Since any of those issues would be covered under manufacturers warranty I would suggest you get in contact with them in order to retain your warranty coverage. Even if it turns out to be a disconnected wire or bad relay, fixing it yourself gives the manufacturer the opportunity to void the warranty and potentially leave you stranded with a mess on your hands.

first check the air switch hose that connects to the "button"
Open the access for the pump there should be 1/4" poly tubing (probably clear) that connects to the pump motor. It just slides over a barbed nipple usually located somewhere on the back of the pump housing opposite the pipe connections. Make sure it is in place properly. If it is in place then look else where. The tubing also connects to the back of the air switch "button". This button connection rarely fails, especially if the tub was working and now does not. But if the tub is newly installed and may have disconnected during installation. this connection is probably going to be difficult if not impossible to verify since it is usually concealed after installation.
Some pump motors have resets some do not. If it does it probably is on the very back of pump opposite the pipe connections.
Also check to make sure that any electrical outlets in the bathroom, or any where in a nearby radius of the tub, to see if they have "GFI" reset buttons and make sure that they havn't tripped by pushing in the button between the plug-ins named "reset". Usually the circuit for the pump will be tied into one of these switches to add ground fault protection to the circuit.
If your pump is not working after checking these things it may be dead. Does your pump "hum" after pushing the button? Do you smell any type oder around the pump that would suggest a "burnt motor"?
If the pump is dead you will have to replace it.
