Contact Number

Hi, You can import phone data from a Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) card to the address book application on your BlackBerry smartphone.
Contacts in the address book can be saved to the SIM card individually. You cannot import data from the address book to the SIM card.
To import a single contact, complete the following steps:
1)On the BlackBerry smartphone Home screen, open the Address Book.
2) Display the menu and select SIM Phone Book. The SIM phone book is loaded.
3) Select the contact you want to import, then select Add to Address Book.
4) In the New Address screen, add any additional information.
Import all contacts, complete the following steps:
1) On the BlackBerry smartphone Home screen, open the Address Book.
2) Display the menu and select SIM Phone Book. The SIM phone book is loaded.
3) Display the menu and select Copy All To Address Book.
4) Go back to the Address Book and make sure all the entries are displayed.
After adding information to ddress book you can able to veiw contact list, I hope this information will be helpfull.

Blackberry, copying contacts to my sim

I do tech support for BlackBerrys and I get this question a lot. Unfortunately, there is no easy way to copy contacts from a BlackBerry to the SIM card. If you're looking to make a backup copy of your contacts, it will be far easier to do it using the Backup and Restore function of the Desktop Manager program to copy the contacts to your computer. You can also synchronize them with Microsoft Outlook or even with your Yahoo! email account's address book and that, too, will probably be easier than copying them to your SIM card. But if you're bound and determined to get the contacts on your SIM card, sadly the only way to do it is one contact at a time. Open up your address book and highlight an entry by scrolling on top of it. Press the menu key (the one with all the dots on it to the left of the trackball) and choose "view". From there, press the menu key again and scroll up to the option called "copy to SIM phone book." Click on that and it will copy that one entry to your SIM card. You'll need to repeat those instructions for every contact that you want on your SIM card. It's definitely a hassle, but that's the only way it can be done. It's weird, too, cause you can copy all the entries at once from your SIM card to the BlackBerry, but not the other way around. Anyway, I hope this helps. Best of luck!

Unlocked 8700c blackberry sim card info not showing

Yes, the blackberry and SIM memory are different.

You will need to copy all contacts onto the BB memory to make full use of its features.

You can do this by going to address book /Options/ SIM Contacts and Copy All to address book.

7290 rim blackberry wont let me text my daughters phone

You text by choosing SMS on the menu options. Do you have email on the device? If so, go into the email icon and see if the SMS option appears on the menu (same menu you look at to compose a new email). If you don't have email, you can see if it's on the menu within the call icon.

Go into your address book/contacts. Hit the menu key and you should see an option for the SIM contacts. Go into it and hit menu. This should show you a copy option. I think you can also do it by going into settings.

Get back if this was helpful or you need more help.

Contacts

Your SIM Card is like a floppy disk, so if you want to permanently add those people from your sim card to your Blackberry - you need to copy from the SIM into the BB Address Book. Otherwise they will be on the SIM Address Book, and you can always go look them up - but they are not saved on the BB itself.

BB: To access your cell phone address book:
  1. Scroll to select the ADDRESS BOOK icon and press [Trackwheel] to select.
  2. Press [Trackwheel] again to access the Menu screen for the address book.
  3. Scroll to select the SIM PHONE BOOK and press [Trackwheel] to select.
  4. system should say LOADING SIM PHONE BOOK.
  5. Then if you select the menu - you should have an option to COPY ALL TO ADDRESS BOOK, select YES so it will copy whats on the SIM to the BB Memory..
This will start the download process to read the contacts stored on your SIM card which were copied from your cell phone.
