I can not transfer to my computer the pictures of my daughter's digital camera Jazz jdc230

  • Anonymous Dec 30, 2011

My daughter received a Jazz JDC230 for a present. We have installed the software and driver according to instructions and also downloaded an updated driver from their website. When we connect the camera to the computer via USB, the computer make a noise acknowledging the connnection, however, when we attempt to use the software to access the photos she has taken it says there is no connection. The camera is not visible in the "my computer" section as an additional, removable driver, either.
Currently, this camera is looking like a piece of junk.
It is NOT a problem with the cable, it is NOT a problem with the USB port.
It is NOT a problem with the computer, it is NOT a problem with the operating system.
Is MOST DEFINITELY IS a problem with either the sofware, the driver and/or the camera itself.

I had this problem too. I went to the company's website, digitac.us, and then to their download page, and downloaded the driver and uninstalled the original from the cd and then installed the new one from the website. After a few times trying to load the pictures, suddenly it worked. Note: when I installed the new driver software, the interface looked slightly different (this way you will know if you have the new driver software installed): there was one extra button on the bottom.Jazz JDC 230 : I cannot transfer pictures to - 12_27_2011_6_07_21_pm.jpg

Hi Eviltoy - I cannot find the download on their website. No one at Digitac has returned my calls or emails. Can you tell me where you found the download?

Jazz jdc 9 digital camera - is the port mini or micro usb?

I don't know but bear in mind it might not even be a usb - my digital camera connector looks like a micro (or mini) usb but it is in fact slightly different and very rare so it seems the only place to obtain one is from the manufacturer at a highly inflated cost.

How to download pictuers to ..compter

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program, such as Picasa.

I need to down load the driver for it

Digital Cameras no require a software or driver to connecting with the PC/Laptop... just will need to plug it to the computer, turn on your device.

In case that this dont work, I suggest take off the SD Card from your camera and trying with a external device or "SD Card reader" connecting to the PC.

Hope this helps; also keep in mind that your feedback is important and I'll appreciate your time and consideration if you leave some testimonial comment about this answer.

Thank you for using Fixya, and have a nice day.

Driver for the jazz JDC8 digital camera

Hi, most cameras do not require a driver, just plug it to your computer, turn it on, and if asked select pc from the cameras display. In the computer open the "My computer" or Computer folder to find the camera, it will be named as Removable storage device or by the name of the camera.

if that does not appear, remove the memory card from the camera, and insert it to a cardreader and the cardreader to your pc, if you dont have a cardreader consider purchasing one, as card reader is the best way of transfering pictures into your pc.
