I have purchased roxio easy cd and dvd burning software

My software worked 2 or 3 times and quit. when i try to burn a dvd it says something at the end of the movie about burn failed, the image file couldnt burned (something to that effect) do you have any advice as to what i can do to fix that problem. i have installed it, uninstalled it, reinstalled, registered the product, and did the activation on the product and im still getting that same error

Hi again, take a look at the info on this link:

    http://forums.support.roxio.com/index.ph...

It certainly could be a hardware problem. I don't use Roxio so I'm sorry I'm not going to be too much help with the software. You mention that it worked 2 or 3 times. Are you doing the exact same thing as when it worked, or is anything different?

I would start at the slowest speed and see if it works. If it does then you can attempt higher speeds. If it will not function on the lowest speed then that is not the problem.

The exact error would be helpful. Are you able to burn CD's? Can you burn data files onto a DVD? What type of DVD are you burning (DVD+R, DVD-R, DVD-RW)?

The people who will try to help you here don't get paid, they just do it for fun. The more information you can provide the better the chances you'll get some help.

I cant burn or play dvd

try to burn at a slower speed, turn off the screen saver and virus scanner? if these try to run while a burn is going it can cause an error, try to defrag the hardrive if needed before the burn, try another brand of media , check for software updates on the burning software

Dvd Decoder

Sounds like you are trying to burn/copy a DVD that has copyright protection encryption. You need to decrypt it using something like DVD Decrypt. NOTE: the legality of doing such is questionable.
