Numark cdmix2 bpm counter

I just purchased a cdmix2 with a bpm counter. The instructions don't tell me how to use the bpm counter. I can see it on the LED but I don't know how to select it or turn it on.

The CD Mix-1 had a "tap" button for the BPM counter, but the CD Mix-2 doesn't have the BPM feature. They both use the same LCD screens, though, so while you can see the "BPM" on the screen, it is not a function that is included. Why Numark did this is beyond me. I had a CD Mix-1, and while primitive, the BPM 'tap" button worked just fine.

My numark cdmix2 doors dont open

Both doors? When you press switch (eject) does display change? I doubt you have 2 defective eject switches. Its more likely you need to replace both CD drives, this is quite common.
