The icons that were at the bottom Windows desktop have migrated to the LH side of the screen. How do I undo this?

click on the start con in the task bar( picture of the world in the bottom lh corner
click on all programs , find the one you want and click and drag it onto the desk top
icon installed

On all windows apart from Windows 8, you drag them from the desktop (left hand side) to the bottom (taskbar) with the mouse.

If the taskbar gets full up the icons might disappear.
The double bar at the end of the taskbar must be moved to the right for more of the taskbar to appear.

I assume you have Windows 8.1 as your OS. Unfortunately, the new OS doesn't add new programs to the Desktop, Task Bar or Start Screen. The best way to find the new programs is on the Start Screen. If you are in the Desktop, press the Windows key on the keyboard or the Start button in the lower left hand side of the screen. On the Start look between the Tiles and the Task Bar on the left side of the screen for an arrow that points downward. (You may need to move the mouse pointer.) This will bring up the All Programs list. Depending on your settings for the Start Screen, you may need to scroll past the Tiles for the non-desktop programs. Then you will see a list of Desktop programs organized by program manufacturer. All of the Microsoft Office software icons will be under the Microsoft Office header. If you right click on the Excel icon, you will be able to "pin" it to the Start menu or the Task bar. Repeat this for the other Office programs if you want them pinned. Another choice from the right click menu is to "Open File Location". This will open the File Explorer on the Desktop to the folder with the specific Office program. If you right click on the Application icon (the .exe file) and drag it to the Desktop, you will see an option to create a shortcut right there.

Once you have created the shortcuts on the Desktop or pinned them to the Start Screen, you may need to move them around. Just drag them to a more convenient location. On the Start Screen, all new Tiles are put to the very right hand side of the list. This may require scrolling several times to reach them. Holding the left mouse button will let you drag the icon.

(You can also find the Office Programs by just searching the folders - but that depends on which version of Office is installed. The default install has been the x32 version, start in the C:\Program Files (x86)\ folder. The 64-bit version will be in C:\Program Files\)

What is a "ninemsn page "?

find the picture icon for the messenger on the bottom right side of your screen near the clock area. Sometimes you will see a down pointing arrow instead. Click on this arrow to open the area and locate the picture of the windows messenger. right click with your mouse on the messenger and choose "exit" and this will close the program.

Show the Internet Icon at Taskbar

Right click on Task Bar -> Properties -> Notification Area Tab -> Check Network System Icon Box -> Apply -> OK.

if you're not sure what was touched and by whom, then you can do a system restore to the day before, it will reset your desktop, this will not delete any documents or files that you made but it will move them to your my documents folder if they were on the desktop. if it does go wrong, then you can go back to system restore and undo the last restoration.

You just drag your the toolbar from right to bottom with the help of mouse cursor.

As far as I know you won't be able to revert back once you migrated. your best bet at this point is to contact AT&T / Bellsouth and ask them to undo the migrate if it's still possible. If the first tech does not know what you're talking about then ask to speak to a level 2 tech.

your drivers need to be updated
