Sony Trinitron KV-32FS320 5 blinks

Three blinks - B+ over voltage protection (OVP), unit goes to the standby mode then displays the 3 blink fault. This is also a problem in the power supply circuit, check T603 and R672. This is the fault with 3 blinks. In standby mode (red led on/after the led stops from blinking), press "Display", "5", Volume (-)", "Power on" on the remote control in sequence, self diagnostic screen will be display, let me know the what is on the screen to diagnose where the fault came from.

It's an error code. Call a Sony repair shop for an estimate.

KV-32HS510 and KV-27HS420, seven times blink error code shows problem in Horizontal deflection circuit.

There are many possibilities like dry solder joints, weak capacitors, Horizontal transistor short or flyback transformer fried etc.

If you have little experience of TV repair and good solder skills and have necessary tools to test / check defective parts, then you can make it. you also need to have related service manual to see board location, schematics and part numbers.

Need a little information here...

1. The TV remains on, yet there is no picture and no sound? Or does the TV turn off altogether?
2. Are the blinks constant and continuous? Meaning, does it blink two times, pause, blink two times and go on and on like that?
3. Can you turn the TV on? Or can you not get it to turn on?

Answer those questions and I can give you some more information or send you to the place where you can get it.

I think, TV screen has white-balance failure thats why TV light blinks 5 times.
While living in Pakistan, I can't fix your TV there. In my point of view, it doesn't cost much and you should contact nearest Sony repair shop.

I had the same issue earlier this week. 4 year old sony trinitron wega 32 in. I was told by Sony to call technician to repair and have called tech....could be anywhere from $200-$300 repair. I did research the blinks (google "sony blinking codes" to find out what each means) Ours was 6-7 blinks which meant power surge to tv. I advised to Sony that i saw many of the same issues with many of the newer tv's and suggested a recall issue--they denied and where no help.
I will buy a new tv now--definitly not a Sony.

Blinking what - how many times before it pauses and then blinks the next set?? Sonys have an error code of blinking to help isolate the problem... (count the number of times it blinks before pausing and let me know).
