Recording My Koss CDR200 says "B NO DISC" when I put a CD in the B deck to record. The A deck seems to work fine but the record side will see a disc.

Willthe b deck playback a normal cd? Sounds like your record laser is gone. It's a philips laser and they are known for it.

KOSS CDR 200 RECORDING

Yes, but you, like I could use an owners manual for this thing, as it isn't as easy to operate as the Philips Audio CD recorders. Owner's manual anyone?
You can just press input select for analog, press record, wait then press 'play' to start recording.

Cdr200 recording

Your CD recorder has 2 sets of phono (rca) sockets on the back. You probably have the outputs connected to your amplifier & speakers. All you need to do is connect your tape deck (or any source except for a turntable) to the inputs sockets on the back of the CD deck.

You might need to switch to external or analogue recording on the recorder.

If you are going to be doing a lot of this type of recording & want it set up more permanently, it might make sense to reconfigure your hi-fi. Shout if you want help with this!

Recording

It will record any line level source (CD, MD, tape, tuner). You can only record vinyl records if you have a phono pre-amp.

The best way to use a CD recorder is to use the "tape loop" on your amp/receiver. Does your amp/receiver have a "tape in" and a "tape out"? If it does you should connect your CD recorder to these in/outputs. That way, whatever your amp or receiver is set to listen to, is what you'll be recording.

Shout if you need more help!

Koss cdr200 dual burner

I had an issue similar to this - I found if I didn't try to record from the internal player it worked ok. Does it say 'recover' when you try to record anytime? If you open the unit, you might see some capacitors on the power supply on the left hand side have leakedand the power is cutting in and out. 'Recover' usually comes up when a recording is interupted if you switch the unit off during recording.
