How do you remove the start stop switch mounted on the rope pull housing on the coleman 5000 powermate 7500 watt unit. You can't get the housing off without removing the start stop switch.

without seeing it, they usual have enough lead length to allow the cover to be moved so you can get to the wire, The switch usually has a blade with a slide connector that can be removed.

Diagram put back together

Hello
Not to much information from you . Here is a E-Machine assembly for the motherboard .
The power switch is a 2-wire connection to the Motherboard. The 2 pins on the motherboard it connects to will be labeled something like PW. The polarity on it doesn't matter. There will also be a power LED connection. Usually those wires are green and black. Green is positive. There's also a hard drive activity LED with (usually) red and black wires. Red is positive. Hopefully that polarity will be marked on the motherboard. If not, try it one way and if the LED doesn't light up, try it the other way. The power (green) LED should be on whenever the PC is on. The hard drive (red) LED will be on whenever the drive is being accessed. There might be pins on the motherboard for reset. Some computers don't have a reset button. In that case you wouldn't connect anything to it. If your case does have a reset button then connect the wires to the reset pins on the motherboard. Polarity doesn't matter for that.

Hope this helps

The machine doesn't start! The led pause/start is blikkering green or yellow, but I can't get the machine working

1) Ensure the dishwasher is turned off. 2) (may not apply) Turn the plastic blue lever located under the sink to the vertical position (this opens the valve, so water can go into the dishwasher) 3) Pour powder indo the dishwasher 4) Turn the dishwasher controller to the top position (the 12 o?clock position) ? this is the eco-setting. 5) Press the on/power button on the dishwasher, so that it now turned on (a light will display) 6) Move the dishwasher controller to the ?R? position (it?s on the very left), and leave it there a second or two. 7) Move the dishwasher controller back to the eco-setting (the 12 o?clock position).

Red light on power up. No image on monitor. Pc fans working.

On a computer mainboard there are usually a number of connecting pins right next to one another called RESET, POWER LED, HD LED etc.
The power led often leads to the green LED next your power button to show that the juice is available and on. The cable that leads to the red LED is usually the HD LED which shows that a disk drive is being accessed.
Since the red LED is active, one of your disks is probably being accessed and that's where the problem is. Either the disk is damaged, the cable is still not inserted properly or the bios is having problems identifying one of your disk drives.

1) Power the computer off. Take the power cable out. Make sure that you are grounded (have no static charge on your body). Take all of the cables between your mainboard and your disk drives off.
2) Plug in one of your disk drives, reconnect the power cable, switch the power on and watch the monitor. If all goes well you will see that the bios has recognized the disk drive and will simply display a message that the operating system for example isn't available or no harddisk drive is present (if you connected something other than a harddisk drive).
3) repeat this process with the other drives, powering the pc completely off each time and then adding a new disk drive.
4) once you've reached the point where the red LED drive is displayed but no message is available, you've found the culprit that is keeping your pc from booting properly. Hopefully the cable has just been stuck on improperly or the cable is damaged (Check it), rather than you having disk drive damage.

Good luck!

Powermate Eco Hard Drive Crashed

Hello

instructions on how to remove and replace the hard drive are on this PDF document.

http://support.necam.com/mobilesolutions/hardware/Desktops/eco/819-201002-000med.pdf

You will need a pdf reader to open the document, if you are unable to open it download a pdf reader here
http://www.adobe.com/products/reader/

Can you remove the hard drive from the computer, write down the details that read on top of it, and also if you could look at the connectors and tell me the details so I can make sure I direct you at a proper replacement.

Thank you,
Ekse

Computer problem

Hello,

If you are referring the green or amber light on the front of the case, it could either be the power led or the hard drive activity led. If its the hard drive activity light, it usually just blinks when a program accesses the hard drive.

Thanks
