Bought e-machine 2003. Hardly does anything but print recital programs, download pix & connect internet by dial-up. Was in the middle of uploading pix to clear machine in hopes of extending computer's life a bit & it decided to die. When i push the harddrive power on, all lights are fine & all cords plugged in, monitor is fine. Displays "e" with F10 boot menu & F2 bios? Then blue screen with Windows XP comes up and after 30-60 seconds, starts all over again. Fans working, makes same sound it's always made to start up. When i press f10 it goes to the screen but i dont kno what 2 do next, and at the bottom, it says f11 recover but i don't know what to do with that either, too many options, i guess.
Yes, I know it's cheaper to buy a new one, already done, but still have 6,000-7,000 pix that didnt get into backup before it crashed, so would like to recover if it's an easy fix before going to Geek Squad. Thanks for any ideas at all.
Re: e-machine 2003. crashed while uploading pix-help!
Excelent description thanx. I assume you have bought a new PC. If so simply remove old HDD and plug it into the DVD cable on the new PC and boot up. It should read the old HDD, simply "copy" pics to new HDD.
DO NOT "MOVE" pics or will corrupt drive futher.
Reformat oldd HDD and repload Windows, all good again.

You can download any free image editing software such as Irfan View or Picasa. Otherwise, shoot at a lower resolution (all digital cameras allow you to shoot at a lower resolution and quality) so that the images are not very large.
Sounds like somone has control over the computer, do you have to use a username/password to log on? And if so are you the main person on the computer or is somebody else in the household who is the main person that setsup and run programs? Use his/her password unsername and it should let it go through.
I hav a samsung SGH-E590 unit. my problem is i cannot connect it with the computer to download or upload music, pix and ect. Do i need to by installer or what?
The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.
Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo management program such as Picasa. Organize edit and share your photos
should be able to use a memory stick or card. upload from computer onto stick/card, insert into frame & will upload pix. some frames have a USB cord that connects directly to the computer as well, if so, you can plug it into the computer (& the frame), and upload the pix you want on the frame from there (sometimes there's a program on your computer that will assist you, sometimes you just do it manually).
If this doesn't help you, please see: http://www.cobyusa.com/?p=doc
This is the Coby website. You input the product & it will pull up all available documentation for it. Sometimes the manuals are available online.

just connect a datacable from camera to pc with card placed in camera and try to download the pics else try to insert 512mb card in another camera and try to copy pics
