With these removable units, you must be very careful, the circular mechanism that does the running of the Y motion need to be properly alligned. Hi You could have a micro switch in the doser that is going bad and needs to be replaced. They are a special micro switch that is very sensitive and can get stuck with a little coffee dust inside the switch.

The solenoid valve is probably stuck (also called a three way valve). I wrote about how I fixed mine in another post. Here's a link. From there you'll find links to where you can buy a new solenoid if that's what you need. Good luck.
