Turn the printer on.
Lift the printer cover until it locks in place.
The empty cartridge will be flashing.
Remove the cartridge by pushing the front clip and lifting it out of the carrier.
Remove the wrapping from the new cartridge and the orange protective cap from the cartridge
Insert the cartridge and press it down until it snaps in place.
Close the cover.
Run the nozzle cleaning utility and the alignment utility.

PRINTING BLANK SHEETS

If an inkjet printer has not been used for some time and several print head deep cleaning has been done and it still does not print properly then the nozzles in the print head are blocked.
Inkjet printers need to be used frequently to prevent nozzles blocking with dried ink.
You need to replace the print head to get the printer functioning again.
But these print heads are expensive to replace, it may be better to buy a better and a later model printer for not much more costs.

Need black ink refill

cartridge also compatible with pro9500. inkoasis.com will get both original and compatible cartridges to you within a day or two. seem to work fine. much less expensive than originals. Staples will also get you a cartridge delivered directly to store for pickup even though they do not usually carry it.

I replaced the clear ink tank on mx7600 and the message "the clear ink is empty" will not go away nor will it print in black. The brand new Canon brand clear ink can be seen on the ink tank itself and in...

Yeah, me too. I fiddled with cycling the power, removing and reinserting the tank, doing maintenance tasks like cleaning the jets, yadda, yadda, no dice. New full Canon tank displays empty. Boo.

I figured "What the heck, I'll try printing anyway" and sent a test page on plain paper. It warned me the tank was empty, then did a bunch of those cartridge moves it likes to do (you hear the carriage moving around cleaning or something). After like 90? seconds of cleaning noises, it figured out that the tank was full, the status went to full, and it printed the page fine.

So my advice is, try printing a page anyway.

I just replace a color cartridge and the printer won't acknowledge it. What should I do?

remove the cartridge. unplug the printer. plug the printer back in. finally replace the cartridge using twice the force as before. J.

Colour printing suddenly dominated by red/pink hue. All ink tanks in order

It sounds like you are using aftermarket or refilled cartridges. To clear the sensors and nozzle, install new OEM cartridges, run deep cleaning a number of times (at least 3 times), and then the alignment utility.
Aftermarket/refilled cartridges do not always meet the manufacturer's specifications for quality. Try cartridges from LDproducts.com for your printer. I've never had a problem with their aftermarket cartridges.

Error code b300

Press the OK button.
- If paper is being fed at error occurrence, the
error is indicated after the paper is ejected.
- If the error occurs, the print head alignment
values are not changed.
- After exit from the error by the OK button,
the automatic print head alignment will not
be re-done.
The error will occur when the print head
alignment pattern is not printed due to no ink
or non-ejection of ink.
