Trendnet 430APB 54Mbps 802.11 AP

New IT this was settup by old IT don't know passphase but never the less can access internal network but can not access internet. AP is not connected directly to gateway put wired on the internal network. I know this at one point worked but does not now. Not sure how to troubleshoot call Trendnet 3 times still waiting for Level 3 reply. Any suggestions? Doing a power cycle is not a solutions that I can do would require powering whole network which is not an option.

Problem was solved thank you for your help solution was using a static IP on workstations for wireless connection instead of using DHCP not sure why DHCP didn't work on the workstations.

If you press the reset button at the back holding it in for about 10 seconds, that should set it back to it's default. Then in your address bar log back into it. The default username is usually admin and sometimes the password is admin too. If not it's either password or there is no password so you can just press enter on your keyboard. This way you can set it up the way you want to. Just be aware that if you use WEP 128 bit, you have to have 26 characters as a password. If you use WPA PSK then you only need 8 characters. You should be able to access this from the word wireless in your options list. I would run the setup again first and then do all the configuration next. Lets hope this helps you out.

How to create a guest internet access in hp msm430 access point?

you asked 2 times?
that question is wifi only guess accounts
not all routers or AP wifi access points have that feature
and is deemed today as dangerous. to use.
hint expect to see less.
why not open the book that came with the AP .
here ill do that for you, spoon fed.
its only 5 years old or less.
page 15 + covers what it can do and can not do
better is have all PCs at home with sharing turned off
the GUEST mode is useless. and is unsafe.

read why here.
guess
pw 1234.
super unsafe ways
and the guest most uses open wifi, always bad that.
this is why most new AP wifi routers or boxes have no such thing now. protecting owners from themselves... wise.

When I enter http://192.168.10.1 for the log in page for Trendnet, it does not come up. I cannot get to the initial log in page for Trendnet.

you are possibly not using the correct information to log into the router.
***************************************************************************
Please verify your hardware and TCP/IP settings again by following the instructions in sections 2-3, make sure the Power, Wan, WLAN,and the LAN lights on the AP/Router's front panel are on, and verify that TCP/IP configuration is correct. Then, try accessing 192.168.1.1 again using the web browser.

How to reset the security key of my trendnet tew-430apb 54mbps wireless access point?

To change your router wireless security
  • Support site here http://www.trendnet.com/products/proddetail.asp?prod=150_TEW-430APB&cat=83
  • User guide here http://www.trendnet.com/asp/download_manager/inc_downloading.asp?iFile=10853
  • Quick setup here http://www.trendnet.com/asp/download_manager/inc_downloading.asp?iFile=10856
Connect your PC to the router with a cable to one of the LAN connections - Now you need to Log into the setup of the router - to do that open a web browser, use Internet explorer (some routers setup pages do not work correctly with other browsers) In the browser address bar - Enter IP address http://192.168.1.100 to the address location. When there is a screen needs to enter the User name and Password, both of the default Username and Password is “admin”
Now you can goto the wireless section or secruity section and set the type of encyption to WEP, WPA, WPA-PSK etc and then make up your own password. See Page 12 of the User Manual
On the PC Double click on the wireless connection in the system tray (bottom right hand side of screen) and then connect manually to your wireless signal - you will be asked for the password you set in the router.
Now you are connected.
You may need to remove any old wireless profiles you have on the PC/Laptops

Cant connect to the AP menu TEW-430APB

clear your browser cache, close, relaunch your browser and try again
You probably cant access it because you are not authorized. If its locked on your rooftop then your ISP should configure your access and that you're not authorized.
