In order to find a pattern please experiment: For example: Try Different SCN (If you're experiencing this problem with your night pictures try and use SCN night, the logo shows a moon and a star, with or without Flash.

I hope it works out.

We have insignia flat screen tv and the picture settings and the adjustment settings keep popping up and want stop. Why is this.

Is there any sort of light source near the TV? A window? Sometimes sunlight can confuse the infrared sensor for the remote.

Automatic light sensor not working

I fixed a Cadillac once and the coustomer was inadvertenly laying his sunglasses on top of the sensor on the dash and the car did not know it was daylight, so you might consider that aspect, otherwise it sounds like the sensor.

How do you fix a canon power shot A70 whose ccd has been exposed to sunlight? My screen is blank. Will not focus on anything..

If the sensor has been exposed to the sun for a period of time unfortunately it will mean a new camera. I believe the price to replace a sensor is pretty close to getting a new camera.

Hi i have a 42" swisstec tv and the remote has

you should first make sure if remote is really working or not or it is tv that isnt 'seeing' remote

if you point the remote at a video camera and look at the picture from the video camera you should see the light coming out of remote when a button is pushed

if you see the light but tv is not responding the sensor on tv has the issue. make sure sensor is not blocked by anything in front of the tv ( you can find the sensor on tv - if not easily seen - by using a flashlight and looking behind any red colored plastic or glass) once you find this sensor besides making sure it is not being blocked you should try cleaning the area where it is. Also try to make sure that the sensor is not being hit by any direct light especially sunlight or a light that resembles sunlight as this will affect performance.

if you dont see light try gently prying open remote control and clean the battery contacts with either rubbing alcohol or a pencil eraser. also try to gently bend the battery contacts in a way that they would hold tighter on the battery

the last thing to try when remote is opened up is to clean the back of the piece of rubber that are the buttons and also clean the contacts on the circuit board that the buttons would make contact with if they were pushed

if none of this works to fix remote you might need to get replacement

hope this helps

write back if you have more questions or if i could help you more

good luck!

Garage door will not go down

The only thing that will cause the main light to flash 10 times and the door to reverse to the open position is a door sensor problem. Check to make sure one of the sensors is not blinking ever so slightly. It can be hard to see. Also make sure direct sunlight is not hitting the lens. Try shading them.

Pink and Black in natural light

It sounds like the light sensor on the camera is malfunctioning. Try cleaning the sensor. If the senor doesn't work at all it will not be able to tell when the camera is operationg in bright light. Kind of like having your eyes dialated and walking outside on a sunny day.

I, took a picture with a bright sun as part of the picture. Now, my LCD just shows colored vertical lines. I, can not take a picture. Is there anyway, I, can fix this problem? Thank you.

Remove your batteries. Let your camera reset. Direct sunlight is never good for your sensor. That should fix it. If it doesnt then you sensor has been damaged unfortunatley repairs on sensor are not cheap

Overexposure in sunlight

It's probably a faulty shutter. Take a look at my blog post to a possible solution.

Pink Edges in Photos

It is called 'purple fringing' or chromatic aberration. It is quite common with digital cameras, especially those with small sensors. Sending the camera in for repair would not help at all. It can be removed, quite labouriously, in photoshop. Usually it is very seldom so obvious that it would require corrective work. When it is, it is often only in a small part of the image making it not that time consuming to fix in photoshop.
