Loses power, not a house electrical problem. outlet is fine. tv shuts off. unplug it wait a few seconds and green light goes on and it connects again. At times it goes off several times, other times it stays on for hours without interruption.
I have a 3 year old apex that I just got from my father. He had it for a year and it worked fine, after a year the picture would just go out. Sometimes for just a few minutes and then other times would be for hrs. Now it won't come on at all???

Unplug the cables from the console, wall outlet, and power supply itself. Wait 10 seconds. Important Be sure to wait 10 seconds. Firmly plug the power cable back into the console, and then plug thepower cable back into the electrical outlet and the power supply. Connect the power supply directly into a wall outlet...
remove all the electrical wire connections from the back of the tv .remove the power plug from the electrical outlet and wait for two minutes and replug the wire and then ckeck.it should work.

Hi Brent,
Mitsubishi's have a problem with the power supply and the Light Engine which incorporates the Digital Module of which it has to be purchased as a complete assembly. I sincerely believe you should not put that kind of money into a dlp set. The cost of the light engine is in the area of $1100.00. Your last idea is the best one.
Dont know if this will work for you or not, but my brother gave me his because of the same problem. It would power up and a green light would come on, then after 10 -15 seconds it would change to a red blinking light. I plugged a usb cable into the service port on the side and left the other end unplugged. Then plugged the tv back into the power. i took a small screwdriver and ran across the contacts in the end of the usb cable until both the red light and the green lights came on. I did this several times listening fot the clicking noises in the TV. after doing this for approx 20 seconds, i pressed the power button and the TV worked fine. 5 days now and no problems. Only thing I can think is I somehow reset the software and now it is working fine. Hope some of you can figure this out and give it a try. if the TV is just sitting, you have nothing to lose
I had the same exact problem.
I removed the bulb and cleaned it. There is a small screen at the top of the bulb and it was covered with dust. Once it was cleaned I replaced the bulb and it solved the problem.
Thanks to those who posted the solutions
