I own an Sansa E260 (4gb) I want to purchase a memory card for it. Will the higher MicroSDHC cards work on the e260or will I have to settle for just a 2gb MicroSD card? (I really want to buy 6 - 8 gb) The only 4gb I have seen are also SDHC
Well buddy sorry for the bad news but you better stick to the regular micro sd only cause they havent gauranteed the use of sdhc and secondly our sansa os can support only 2gb by default of card..so dont dream... but the good news is if you install rockbox to your player you could use a 8gb card with ease.. www.rockbox.org but your on your own with rockbox its an opensource software for mp3player and its developed by nearly 350 people accross he world

I have a Sansa e260 4 gb player. I bought a 4 gb SD card. The player will not recognize the card. I have formated the card but ths has not helped.
Also I reformated the Sansa and was getting refresh database everytime I turned on the player but since I loaded the card it is not doing that any more, any suggestions???
I too have been having trouble with my 4 GB SD HC card not being read or even recognized by my Sansa e260. I read another complaint/concern dealing with the card not being compatible with the Sansa e260, which is fine but the why the FREAKING HECK did multiple sales people point out this card and tell me it was compatible, not to mention it said so on the packaging too!
So the comment posted "sorry for your luck buddy these cards are not garuanteed" holds as much water as a bucket without a bottom.
Thanks for the info tho. I guess my real complaint is with the company who makes the mp3 player and the company (aka- Staples) who sold me the chip.
