LG DLP TV temp problem

I have an LG RU-52SZ51D DLP TV that keeps shutting off with what appears to be a temperature problem. The Power light goes red and the temp light blinks 3 times then 6 times. Any ideas?
Thanks!

A temp problem? First check all the fans and make sure they are free from debris or check to see if they are spinning.

I have an LG DLP. that turns off after 15 -30 seconds

If the second light is blinking to orange or red, that is usually the lamp indicator light on an LG DLP tv. That indicates your bulb needs replaced, or something surrounding the bulb has failed (like the cooling fan for the bulb for example) IF you have a spare bulb handy, I'd replace the bulb, keeping in mind if you touch any part of a new bulb with your bare hands, you just cut the life of the bulb by more then half.

Resetting the indicator light

Hold down on the Enter or OK on the TV and Mute on the remote control for 5-10 seconds. The TV should then ask what you want to do. Perform this with the TV on.
