I have a dell inspiron 1525 that is downgraded from windows vista basic to windows xp. The only problem is that the audio effects tab are missing from my dell webcam console. I used to have the audio effects in vista before I downgraded to windows xp. The dell webcam console only has video effects and doodle. I have tried reinstalling dell webcam center numerous times, but still no audio effects. What should I do?

i think your audio drivers has not installed so first installe the audio drivers through dell audio drivers website.

get the windows xp disc, press F2 to get into the bios and set the cd rom drive as the first bootable device.

Boot from the windows xp disc - wipe and re install xp as the operating system and then once installed update to at least SP2 and get the drivers for the network card if not already installed and it should be fine as long as you can get the relevant drivers.

Follow this simple Installation step to downgrade Windows Vista to Windows XP.
a. You have to prepare SATA Driver on your USB Disk. You may get the Dell Inspiron 1525 SATA HERE

try going to your sound settings and lowering the input sensitivity that buzzing your hearing might be cause by the mic input volume is to loud

As you mentioned that you have downgraded to windows xp, did you change the sata operations to ATA mode from AHCI mode in bios before installing XP? If you have done this then try and reinstall webcam driver and also the audio driver. If possible get into device manager to check if all drivers are working fine.

There is no way to legally get the product key for Windows XP without buying a copy of Windows XP.

Also, if you have Vista Home Premium or Basic, you will have to do a fresh install of XP, only Vista Business and Ultimate allow for downgrading.
