YOU ARE LUCKY, OLD FAUCETS ARE LIKE CLASSIC CARS, INDESTRUCTIBLE. YOUR INNER CARTRIDGE NEEDS TO BE REPLACED OR CLEANED. IN MY EXPERIENCE IF YOU'RE GOING TO GO THROUGH THE TROUBLE TO CLEAN IT YOU MIGHT AS WELL REPLACE IT, BECAUSE MORE TIMES THAN NOT AFTER YOU CLEAN IT, IT WILL START LEAKING. START BY TURNING OFF YOUR WATER AT THE METER, TURN THE FAUCET ON TO BLEED ANY PRESSURE AND VERIFY THAT THE WATER IS OFF. IF THIS IS THE CRYSTAL HANDLE DELTA I AM THINKING OF FOLLOW THESE STEPS: 1. REMOVE THE PLASTIC COVER PLATE IN THE CENTER OF THE HANDLE WITH A FLAT SCREWDRIVER. 2. REMOVE THE SCREW BENEATH THE BEFORE MENTIONED COVER. 3. REMOVE THE HANDLE. 4. REMOVE THE NUT BELOW THE BEFORE MENTIONED HANDLE. 5. REMOVE THE CARTRIDGE, SEATS, STEM AND REPLACE OR CLEAN. 6.FOLLOW THE BEFORE MENTIONED INSTRUCTIONS IN REVERSE MAKING SURE ALL SLOTS AND GROOVES LINE UP. TURN THE WATER BACK ON AND TURN ALL FAUCETS ON TO BLEED ANY AIR IN THE LINES.... GOOD LUCK

Avalon cartridge faucet handle sticking

I would try replacing the cartridge. Handle has a set screw (probably an allen head) There should be a retaining nut holding the cartridge in. Unscrew it and pull the old cartridge out. You might have to pull pretty hard.

Do I have to remove the entire Delta kitchen faucet in order to replace the pullout faucet hose? If not, can you give me step by step instructions on how to replace it? Thanks.

Should be able to turn water supply off to faucet and trace the line connecting the pull-out faucet. Remove weight in center on hose line this weight helps retract the faucet head in with the line. Remove it and disconnect the line connection and remove the old one.

My kitchen faucet is a single handle Moen and is approximately 20 years old. Lately it has been acting up which I have been ignoring in the hope it would heal itself. It has been difficulet to turn the...

It may just be that you need a new cartridge. If you can replace cartridge without to much problem I would do that. Depending on your water quality the cartridge may be very hard to remove on a faucet that old. Also if the handle actuating hole is worn very much you may have to replace it also. By the time you buy parts you may have half or more of the price of new faucet, I would recommend that you replace faucet. Hope this helps. Thanks

I have a single handle Moen shower faucet. Pull to turn on. Turn clockwise for cold. Turn counterclockwise for hot. It does not leak but it is hard as hell to pull out when I turn it on. The house was...

If it is hard to pull out or push in the valve then you will need to replace it. On moen valves you can not rebuild the cartridge you can only replace them. A new cartridge will cost you around 15 to 20 dollars.

Also I would tack the cartridge with you when you gao and buy it because they make 2 different ones.

Good Luck and please rate 4 thumbs up for the free answer

I have a moen 1 knob push-pull faucet for my tub/shower. When I push it in sometimes water continues to drip. It is probably 30 years old. Are their replacement parts for it?

The old MOEN single handle faucets like youve described usualy took a 1200 or 1225 cartridge. Both are available at most of your big home improvement stores. The answer to your question is yes MOEN parts are still avail. Hope this helps. If this advise is helpful, please give me a vote.

I am trying to replace the o'ring on my Kohler kitchen faucet 10416. The instructions ask me to pull out the spout to remove it from the body. However, regardless of how hard I pull, it refuses to come...

The o-ring(s) is expanded or stuck. Try spraying silicone lub (found it at most discount ro hardware stores)  Keep twisting it back and forth as you raise it up . Yes. You may have to force it up which will tear the old o-rings that you are going to replace anyway.
