If it is a new water heater it might be that the water supplies are crossed. The cold water should be installed on the right hand side of the tank or on the bottom if your tank hooks up on the side. If its an older water heater the dip tube may have broken off. This is a tube that runs from the top of your water heater on the cold side to the lower portion of the tank.It puts the cold water in the bottom of the heater which pushes the hot water to the top.To change the dip tube out you must disconnect the cold water supply from the 3/4 inch nipple at the top of the tank. Then with a pipe wrench unscrew the nipple from the tank it will have the remainder of the tube on it.You can get a replacement dip tube at a plumming supply. Installation is opposite of removal. If this is your problem I suggest you get a new water heater .Usually its caused from minnerals in the water or buy two dissimiler metals being connected together in the water piping system causing corrosion Your water heater will probably fail in the near future.

No water coming out of hot water taps with a Bosch Water Wizard 10P?

Do you live in a climate where the hot water line could have frozen? If your heater did freeze up, that could be very bad. This is because water actually expands when it freezes and can do a lot of damage to pipes and to the water heater itself. My other thought is possibly a clogged in line water filter. But typically a clogged water filter would make it run with reduced pressure rather than a complete shutdown all water flow.

Please help, water not hot in shower

If it is hot in the kitchen, then once the water has reached the shower it should be hot. The leads me to believe that the issue is with your shower mixer unit. Nearly all are thermostatically controlled.

Or, if the heater is downstairs and the bathroom is upstairs, you don't have enough hot water pressure. You need a good plumber with a pressure tester (called a manometer).

We have a 6 gal L.P. Gas water heaters and we were wandering if it's possible to connect a hose out from there to an external shower so we can have hot water in that shower.

no
if you want to run multiple showers , put a "T" joint into the hot water outlet side of the heater and run the hoses from there
the existing tap controls the gas flame so any additional taps to other showers will do the same
The relief valve has no water flow as such and is meant to refill the heating side of the reservoir and to prevent over pressurizing the heater causing an explosion

When I use the shower, the unit defaults to level I heating. Why is water not hot enough?

it probably has an anti-scald control in the shower line that lets cold water in to prevent burns
If so that unit has a wax bulb that sometimes fails and the default fail setting is cool water
have a plumber check it out

Could my grohe thermostatic shower be letting cold water into my system? Some other taps run cool but the shower is running OK temperature

If you have single handle facute one bad cartridge in the system may be acting like a mixing valve and allowing cold water to mix with hot not allowing water to get hot enough .

Tankless on demand water heater.

Tankless water heaters normally take a little longer than a regular heater to provide hot water because they have to start and get warmed up. I'm guessing the heater uses a pilot light and that the short amount of hot water when you turn on the tap is hot because when the water is sitting still in the heater the heat from the pilot light is enough to get it hot. The tub faucet will get hot a lot faster than the shower because it lets a lot more water through and empties out the pipes faster than the shower. You could probably speed things up by letting the tub faucet run on completely hot for like 10-15 seconds and then turning on the shower.

Hot water taps and showers pressure very low cold taps ok

there is a little cap on the hot and cold side above the shut off valves, turn the water off at these valve and take the caps off there are filters in there clean them off and reinstall them that should take care of the problem, you might want to flush the tank while your at it hook a hose to the hot side connector and run it out side or to a sump pump then turn on the cold water and flush it out you can also reverse this procedure by doing it on the cold side
