I play Madden 08 everday. I enjoy doing the training before every game. Now I have a problem. After I pick my players to train and it starts to load, it will not load completely. It just keep saying its loading but never loads. I have to shut off the console to reset it. I thought it may be the disc, so I brought a new one, same thing. Every now and then I'll try it and it works. Help me if you have the answer, PLEASE. Other than this everything works OK.

Same problem, On my 5th season of my current Franchise. This is the 4th Franchise I've re-started. Every one of them I've had to give up on because I don't want to not be able to train my players. VERY frustrating. I'd be in year 20 by now! This occurs only when initiating training. I can skip the training and keep on playing.

Well i had the same problem with my madden 08, it would freeze everytime i would try and go into the offseason. so i went to easports website and the answer that i found was:
"reason the game is freezing is because there aren't enough players in the free agent pool. If you have this problem download our new roster update, which will fix this issue. The roster update does not work with EXISTING franchises, meaning that you will have to start a NEW one."
This sounds like you guys have discovered a bug, or glitch ... whilst i know this is very annoying if you love your console and games as much as i do, you want a fast easy fix ... and you want it yesterday.
Due to the nature of your complaint, and the fact that one other person has discovered a similar problem with the same game, i would firstly contact the software developer ( the guys who made it ) and ask them for a fix or as we say "patch" to help iron out this problem.
Get online at easports and register and perhaps take a look at the forums.

Games will always have glitches and bugs, ea have been around for ages so their support team should be "on the ball" with problems like this =)

the way you explained how it loads and you even bought a new cd... it boils down to the lens. try cleaning the lens with a dvd cleaner. be specific with the cleaner though because cd cleaners are different from dvd cleaners. try to use the dry cleaner and not the cleaner which uses liquids.

In the manual it says never clean your ps3 with a lens cleaner because it can scratch the lens and do damage. Are you online with the game? It could require a patch to resolve the problem. i had the same sort of thing with ea tiger woods. would get to a point in the game and then just freeze, then after i downloaded the patch it played after that. i dont think it has any thing to do with your ps3 and it is a fault with the game. I suggest you contact ea customer service hotline or via email, and explain whats happening and i bet they tell you a patch is out soon, if not already. I've read a lot of people are having this problem. hope this helps

I have the same problem. However, it did not show up until the fifth season in franchise mode. I've also had one instance where I tried to simulate through a bye week and it locked up the same way. Any solutions?

I'm in my 6th year of madden 08 and about half way through my 5th year, training before each game would never load all the way, causing me to restart everytime. If anyone knows how to fix it please help me out
i used to be able to reset and it would load the next time, but for my second franchise now a couple season in that no longer works and it never loads. I can't fix it
I've had the same problem, but it started only intermittently usually after I had saved; so I stopped periodically saving. It still happened and started to get worse, now in year 6 of Franchise and can't go to train active team at all.
Mine freezes during training aswell. Progression is none existent or inaccurate.
this damg game has been freezing on me forever,i know its the software,i should have had 80 wins by now,but i,m stuck on 4 wins because i can never finish a damn game,this sucks
