I have a two-handle Delta faucet that drips.  With both handles turned completely to off, the faucet drips at a about 1 drip every 15 seconds

It's weird that the faucet drips every 15 seconds even when both of the handles are turned off. My kitchen sink leaks, but it only has one handle. I'm not sure how to fix the problem. Maybe it would be a good idea for both of us to call a plumbing professional for help.http://www.powderriverheating.com/plumbi...

Sounds like you need to replace the valve seats. if you shut the water off and remove the handles you will see the valves. you have to remove them and under that you should see these little black things. they come out but have springs under them so be careful. the black things are the valve seats. i would start by replacing them

Moen single handle faucet, when turning off the water it drips on the cold side

Sephie,

You have a very common problem. The short answer is you need to replace the Cartridge, which is Moen part # 1225.

I have seen that so many times with that particular faucet... I'm not a big fan of Moen in general-- but that aside.... That Faucet is one of their "economy" lines and has a long history of giving trouble. I would suggest to you that the best solution would be to replace the faucet with a nice quality Delta, or equivelant-- Delta style and those that use the same parts such as many Peerless and others ARE VERY SIMPLE TO SERVICE, and the PARTS ARE PRETTY CHEAP AND ALWAYS AVAILABLE at Lowe's or Home Depot. Moen cartridges are expensive and can be hard to find the exact match as there are many models that look almost identical. You can get the part free from Moen, but that takes time and can be a hassel.

Hope this helps, Let me know if you have further questions! Good Luck!

I have a Delta Tub/Spout Pull Down Diverter that has a pretty persistent drip. The HOT and COLD handles are turned off and seem to be as tight as they can be. After doing some research online I believe...

If your Delta RP17453 Pull-Down Diverter Tub Spout stops dripping after 5 minutes, your ok. If it never stops dripping, you need to replace delta faucet cartridge(s) behind the handle(s). This is were the water turns on and off and stops the water flow to the tub spout.

Delta faucets are some of the easiest to repair, and parts are usually available at any hardware store or home center. If you have a two handle faucet, replace both delta seats and springs and stems. If you have a single handle Delta faucet, replace the entire cartridge.

We are trying to remove the handle on a delta 172 single handle kitchen faucet. The hex screw won't budge now, but we were able to get the handle a little bit loose. Now not only is the faucet dripping,...

Hi,
Make sure the exact allen key is in the screw. take a small adjustable wrench, close it onto the allen key, and loose with wrench turning the allen key.
good luck

A single handle delta shower control lets water drip through shower head when shut off......how do I fix it ?

Make sure the drip is continuous because the shower head will drip for a few minutes until it empties out. Replace the cartridge or washer kit if it keeps dripping.
