Sounds like you need to take it in for repairs, clean outs and/or replacements.

This product is known for it's heating issue and power consumption. Maybe the fan is starting to wear out and it's affecting the rest of the system. I would suggest checking the warranty on the system, if it is no longer valid, then I would look for a local tech in the newspaper.

My cooling fan on my HP Pavilion 23 touch screen desktop has the cooling fan running constantly now? Why would this happen all of a sudden?

It's possible that either the chip it's cooling is running hot. The heat sink inside may be covered with dust preventing the chip from being cooled. It also might be dust on the fins of the fan itself causing the extra noise.

You should have it checked out and cleaned to prevent possible damage and fan failure.

Dear Team, Overheating causes Video failure. BIOS updated to F13 for Fan to run constantly. Still causing problems related to overheating. Is there a recall on this product? or any other service to help...

When the CPU overheats then it will shutdown (i.e. thermal overload) and won't boot up again until it has cooled down.If this is the problem is not fixed then the CPU will eventually fail.
A faulty fan causes this problem or the fan and heat sink assembly are cloggedwith dust.
Check the CPU fan to see if it spins freely, if not replace the fan. If the fan and heat sink is clogged withdust the remove the dust and make sure the vents are clear and dust free. Use acan of compressed air to do this.

My computer runs constantly its loud and annoying

I assume you mean the cooling fan on the CPU, this model uses a smart fan technology, it is meant to spin up faster to provide cooling. If is is doing tis constantly, it means the CPU is not getting adequate cooling (overheating), to check this, remove the side panel, clean all the dust and debris build up from the cooling fan and see if that helps

HP Pavilion DV6700 won't boot

Possibly overheating? As you say that when you press and of the F-Key option nothing is happening, and also the fan is running at full power, if the fan is louder than usual, then it could be overheating in the air vents which you can find either at the sides, back, front and underneath the laptop, try getting the compressed air, and giving the air vents a blast to get all dust out. Or a vacuum. Do it whilst laptop is turned off though!

Fan runs constantly

one reason that a CPU fan may be running constantly is that it may not be able to cool the cpu down. usually this could be due to dust or debri clogging the incoming or outgoing vents or even dust accumulated on the fan itself or the heatsink.

Very loud fan!! Sounds like jet engine and make the computer shutoff.

Dont worry Rob5150, this is normal in hp laptops, this should not be bothering u any more. But there are modes in which u can make the fan run either always ON or when required.

Thankyou
