When I hook my my monitor to cable it has a picture. But when I hook up my ps2 game console to play DVD's all I get is a blue screen. Any ideas what is happening?
The tv didn't come with a remote. The tv didn't recognize the cables from the PS2 so I bought a converter box and it works fine now. The tv didn't come with a remote. The tv didn't recognize the cables from the PS2 so I bought a converter box and it works fine now.

you need to hook up the ps2 directly to the tv not the converter box the converter box is only for digital Chanel's that will go off air on june 12 but if you have cable or satellite then you don't need a converter box this is only for free Chanel's with they don't requires subscription to cable or satellite your playstation should work with out the box try to hook it up directly to the tv not the box
I have a similar problem except I have a Diamond Vision (small) TV and I have my ps3 (The old one not the new one) hooked up to it but I can't seem to find the channel to display it? (I do not have the remote to my TV)
you can try to run a dvd cleaner in it or you can also try to clean it out with some compressed air might just be dust on the lens or you could have a problem that the ps2 not getting enough cool air and it is over heating
Hi there, have found a solution to my problem, not sure if it will work with the PS3, but i simpky bought a new PS2 scart cable with Gold conatcts and it solved it for me.
if you have the regular ps2 you need cable or dsl and you might not have your adapter for the original the slimline version has bulit in there is a port in back most ps2 games are not online
you need a ps3 scart lead. i think the one of the ps2 is the same but check. it should just hook up like a ps2. if you are having any problems with the picture hold down the power button when you start up the ps3 for 10 seconds this runs the optimal screen settings for the cable you are using. but if it is the first time you are using the ps3 it will auto start in set up mode. hope this helps
