how much is everything in your freezer worth???or how much will you be putting in your freezer worth??? it is cheaper to fix the freezer than losing all that money on food

The red light is usually just a power on indicator and should always be on as long as the is voltage is being supplied to the unit.

Is your compressor running? Try this: place your hand on top the compressor, quickly-in case it's hot-it should be vibrating and cool/warm to the touch. If it's not running then the cheapest/fastest test is to try a 3in1 start kit from a local appliance shop. The 3 in 1 start should be around $14 to $20 to wire up. It's extremely simple to wire up, just ask the clerk at the appliance shop's parts counter and they will explain it. I hope this helps you out!!! :)

I'd let it dry out totally then try it again, some of the electronics may have gotten wet when you defrosted it. Give it a week somewhere warm and dry like a garage. If you didn't attack built up ice in the freezer with a knife while defrosting it it should work after it dries out. Most people end up killing freezers by accidently poking holes in the evap coil while trying to remove built up ice.

the temperature control is bad. when you push the fast freeze it bypasses the thermostat for 12-24 hours depending on which model you have. I am not able to find any parts information with the model number provided but you should be able to find a temperature control at any local appliance parts house or online thru any reputable supplier. you have a refrigeration issue partner let her go 16 yrs. is good service you can replace it for 3 to 5 hundred the repair will be that IF you can find someone with the r-12. don't go for a top it off and go deal the food you lose is to expensive for that to be economical.

Check your voltage.

Check these two things first.  1.  Is there a thick frost buildup on the back panel at the bottom half of the freezer?  2.  Do you hear the fan running inside the freezer?  Let me know what you find.

First make sure you have a good 9v battery installed. If it is ok then the problem will probably be in the display board or the wiring connectors between the boards. CE is communication error. If your model has the electronic tempature control instead of mechanical thermostat the problem could be in there. My bet is a bad connection at display board.
