Check the cyan ink supply line for air bubbles. These printers work off negative pressure between the print head and the ink supply. If there are bubbles in the line the negative pressure is disrupted and ink cannot flow through the print head.

I have an HP Officejet Pro L7590 All-in-One Printer (CB821A). For some reason it is no longer printing blue ink. I have put a new cartridge in and the digital indicator on the unit itself says it's full....

Hi David! I had HP Deskjet printer at my essay writers for hire company, but color cartridge failed after printed five color photos. So, you are happy man, because you have all colors without blue. It's not so bad.

Bypass expired message cartridge. Cartridge is less than six months old & nearly full.

Hi,

Every cartridge will have its own ID and Expiry date, please check the Cartridge expiry date, if its really expired then printer will reject it even-though the cartridge is full.

We cannot bypass cartridge errors for single cartridge in INK-JET printer, because they work in TIJ technology (Thermal Ink Jet) which needs all cartridges to be functional unlike Laser-jet printers.

Hello my 7590 printer will not print in cyan

The chances are you have a defective cyan ink cartridge. If you are using an aftermarket/reloaded cartridge and the cartridge chip is defective. First try a new cartridge. The best bet is a new OEM cartridge, run the deep cleaning utility 3 times. The nozzle may be clogged and this will clean the nozzle.
Aftermarket/reloaded cartridges ink do not always meet the specifications for the printers that use the finer inks.
Let me know if this works for you. Thanks.

My office jet L7590 printer suddenly quit on me. It keeps playing a message that says the printhead has a problem

Did you let one of your inks run dry? If so, you need to replace the effected printhead. This model has two, one for black and yellow, and a second for cyan and magenta. If you let the yellow run dry but have tons of black, it still effects the black/yellow printhead. Same with the other, either color going dry makes its printhead go bad. Either printhead will set you back about $75. Easy to remove and replace once you get the new printhead.

Bottom line with this model of printer...DON'T let you inks run dry. A new ink cartridge is $20 vs. $75 for a new printhead.

FYI - This is the most common mistake/problem with this printer. The Inkheads are built to last at least 40,000 prints. That's several years for most of us, that is unless you let the inks run dry.

I refilled HP 88 cartridge but printer (Officejet Pro L7590) still thinks cartridge is empty. How do I reset ink level?

The chip on the cartridge needs to be reset. You can find replacement chips on the internet but they cost about half as much as a new cartridge. Also, if you filled the cartridge incorrectly you can get air in the ink lines of your printer which will make it unable to print that color. Overall, I would recommend getting refills from Cartridge World. They always reset the chip, take care of the mess of filling for you, cost less than new cartridges, and are 100% guaranteed to work.

HP L7590 black ink printing poorly even with new HP cartridge

I have had the same problem It is the print head not the cartridge If your printer is still under warranty have the printhead(s) replaced if not Open the unit where the print heads are and hold the OK button for 5 seconds. The Print head carriage will move to the left

Carefully remove the KY (Black & Yellow) Print head with a cotton swab and alcohol clean the contacts and replace the printhead. If this does not work remove the printhead and then with a spray bottle spray the nozzle area on the bottom (DO NOT TOUCH THE NOZZLES AS THEY WILL BE DESTROYED) HP techs have told me this will void any warranty so act accordingly I use a printhead cleaning solution available from most any online ink supplier

Replace the printhead after it has dried out (less than a minute). The printer will then go through an alignment cycle and should print I had to do this several times before the print head performed as it should
