I have a Panasonic PV-C2542 TV/VCR combo. I just bought a DMRES15. I can't find any reference on how to transfer VHS to DVD using a combo. I need guidance.
No, I'm trying to transfer a VHS tape to DVD. I guess it's not possible with the TV/VCR combo and the DMRES15? Not interested in making a VHS tape from a DVD.No, I'm trying to transfer a VHS tape to DVD. I guess it's not possible with the TV/VCR combo and the DMRES15? Most Combo Recorders (VHS and DVD) will prevent you from
recording a Copyrighted VHS tape program onto DVD.
Try recording a TV program onto your VHS tape, then
transfer it to your DVD and see if your new DVD recording
will work or not.
No you cannot - This is a DVD *PLAYER* / VCR combo - which means it features a DVD player & VHS recorder in one - you cannot record onto DVD - You can however watch a DVD while recording your tv program on the VCR.
I hope this answers your question.
If you want to convert your VHS to DVD you will need to purchase a standalone DVD recorder - I personally do not reocmmend the DVD recorder / VCR combos - or you can use a HDD/DVD recorder which stores recordings on a hard drive and later you can burn them on DVD, they allow editing, more flexible recording options, etc
.
blank disk to dvd tray....VHS in deck....PUSH PLAY ON VHS...and RECORD on DVD BURNER....if it is a burner...they weren't all burners....it has to say DVD WRITABLE or some thing in that mannern
Yea I have the same set up and did the same thing as that your trying to do and what you have to do is run both the cable box and the VCR through your TV using the inputs. As well as a PS2 running through imput 3.
Even if you do get it connected you cannot copy from vhs to dvd as you have bought a vcr recorder with dvd player, not a dvd recorder.
You can only record to the vcr tape from a dvd, in the players controls.
