Just tried to run a new Rustler VXL in the snow. Steering works, but not forward or reverse. Any ideas?

If the motor is not trying to move at all check to make sure that the motor is connected to the speed control and the speed control is connected to the receiver. If you can hear the motor run, check the pinion gear on the motor to make sure it is tight, and check the slipper clutch to make sure it has not backed off.

Transmission making a clicking noise. one tire spins faster then the other one

There probably is a little stone or sandcorn that's stuck in the tooth on the gears. Try take of the cover to the gears and look closely.
If one wheel is spinning significantly faster than the other, look for stones or sand stuck in or around the bearings at the wheels.

I have the same problem with my mini vxl slash sometimes and for me anyway I first unplug the battery, plug it back in, set the esc and then rotate the throttle adjustment on the transmitter reverse and then foward and for me that seems to work everytime. Dont know for sure if this is the same problem that you are having but I hope my answer helps...

The esc needs replaced it is shot if u just purchased it it will be covered under the warranty

How can you adjust a traxxas rustler for a novice driver so it doesn't go so fast?

When turning on, press and hold the button on the ESC until it flashes 1, 2, 3 times then let go of the button. You are now in novice mode.

My traxxus rustler has stopped working xl-5

I have a Rustler vxl and the same thing happened to me. Have you tried re-programming the controller to the car. look in your manual and you should see that the throttle must be programed for full extension for the brake and full compression for the "give it the gas". it has to do with the speed controller on how to get it set right.

I have Troy-Bilt storm 7524 snow blower which normally works fine, however, it has started to have problems shifting back into forward gear after being reversed. I'll put the snow-blower into reverse gear...

Try lubing the linkage where it shifts from forward and to reverse the linkage is most likely freezing up or has snow or ice build up causing it not to shift, My thought is your shoving it hard enough that it finally engages when you get the snow or ice to break off.
