My AEG B3101-4 oven works for about 30 mins, then seems to cut out... it won't work at all until it has cooled down, and then the cycle starts again... can you tell me which part is likely to need replacing?

It is a safety thermostat that is cutting the oven off, due to overheating.
It could be that the external cooling fan is not working, or the cut out itself is faulty.
Check to see if you can hear the fan working.
This is usually located on the top of the oven , at the rear of the oven, on the top .
Hope this helps.

I cannot turn off child lock on AEG oven.

I have the same problem. Turned off power several times and for up to for 30 mins at a time. Carried out the child lock procedure each time to set or reset. It beeps in response but safe lock will not clear. Tried turning the knobs before or after resetting as well but nothing seems to work. Got an apple crumble waiting to go in my AEG BPE556220B :(

My son looked at it and I wasn’t pressing the time button together with the C for temperature button, so all sorted now. In case you struggle, the icons in the centre of the top panel are digital. So just press the time and temperature together for a couple of seconds. It will bleep and release

H E L P !!! My oven made some noises this morning when my husband was wiping down the front of the oven door. Noise sounded like the "oven was going into clean mode"....but then only lasted...

Hello.

Please apply the solution this way!

To close an oven door when it's in the locked position and the door is open, press and hold the oven door light switch while following these simple steps:
  • Program the oven to self-clean.
  • Wait 20 seconds.
  • Cancel self-clean.
  • Wait 20 seconds.
To self-clean your wall oven, follow these simple steps:
  • Remove the oven racks.
  • Set your oven control to "Clean."
  • Select a cleaning time or choose a cleaning level: light, medium or heavy. For typical cleaning needs, we recommend that you select a cleaning time of three hours or choose the medium setting.
  • Select "Start." (To set a delayed start, see your Use & Care Guide.)

Note: For safety reasons, the oven door will remain locked until the oven cools down. When it is sufficiently cool, the door will automatically unlock.

Thanks for using fixya.

Your cooling fan may not be working. either the fan is faulty or its controling device is not switching it on it also allows the fan to run on after the oven has been turned off. its located in the wiring loom behind the switches. part 899661926761-1 costs £26

Aeg oven d4100 cutting out

There is a cooling fan in the cabinet of the oven which is not working either the fan is faulty or the controling cut in stat is, The fan should run when the grill is selected if does not it is more likely to be the fan/motor at fault.

Aeg b3101 oven / grill cutting out

Ther are a couple of possibilities that could be causing your problem.
A thing called the safety stat could be cutting the oven out, it is designed to cut off the oven in the case of overheating This is what brings on the cooling fan. Sometimes they cut out prematurly for example you may not have enough vetilation, check for restricted or blocked vents.
The stat itself could be faulty again causing the oven to cut out,and then as it cools down it resets itself and so on and so on.
The thing to do after you hve checked evrything else is toichange the stat.
It is usually located on the top of the outer oven compartment, it is about 1" or so long with a feed in and out of it
Plz rate my solution.
Thanks, and merry xmas.

Oven cuts out

Most of the time it is a temp sensor in the oven. We bought a service manual at houseneeds.com and fixed ours.

Electrolux Oven EOB6630, similar to above

Hi, I've had a similar problem with my electrolux EOB4633. I've replaced the "thermal cut out unit" and it's working now. Basically this unit switches on the outer casing fan ( on top in my oven ) to keep the casing from overheating. When the thermal cut out doesn't work it fails to switch on the fan and the casing overheats, the oven then cuts out completely until it has cooled down and the cycle starts again.

The bit to be replaced ( part no 8996619267611 ) is located on top of the oven, under the outer cover, just behind the timer & selector switch. It's a small ( 1inch long ) silicon sleeve with 4 wires coming out of it, just unplug the wires and replace it with the new one ( unplug/disconnect the power to the oven, or switch of the power at the mains switch first ), then remove the oven outer top cover ( all you need is a screwdriver ). You'll see the offending unit, probably tie wrapped to one of the wire bundles, quite easily - mine was blackened and charred.

Good luck!

AEGB1180-4 overheating/cutting out

It is not the control unit. Remove oven from housing, switch power off and remove either the top panel or the back of the oven You will see two wires going to a thermal overload cut out, looks likse a round thermostat. Join the 2 wires togther bypassing the toc, it will now work okay
