I have a polaroid flm 373b. It is getting no power to it at all. It doesn't turn on and the blue/red light does not illuminate. I can kinda hear a sparking sound when i plug and unplug it. I do not see any visible burned parts when I took off the back plate. I have replaced the 2 capacitors on the top that were blown out. It still does not work.
UPDATE >> ok, i have determined that the PS is ok, and my problem is with the main board. i checked all the caps on the PS, they were within tolerance, but just to humor myself i replaced them anyway.
and still no results, i have figured out how to force the PS on.
if you use a jumper wire and stick it between the yellow and blue wire on the connector, should be labeled as PS ON and 12v..not exactly sure, but i do know it is the yellow and blue wire to jump.
this will force the PS on. then you can check your voltages to see if you have the proper readings, if the set still does nothing then its likely the main board that is bad.. you can try to isolate some of the other boards ( inverter , tuners etc,) and see if that helps any..but if the set remains dead, then shoot for the main board..
i'll report back once i replace my main board...look out ebay, here i come...:o)
I have the same problem.. i have replaced several caps.

when plugged in. blue led will blink once for a split second, then nothing more. 5V SB is present. there is never a red led when plugged in. just the 1X blue flash.
I have aPolaroid 37inch flm-373B lights come on but no picture or sound, blue light flashes,
When the filter capacitors went out , the power supply will feed AC instead of DC into the circuit board and may have damaged other circuits. Do you get the 5vdc standby voltage? it should be on one of the power supply out put connector the minute the you plug in the TV, you must have this before go further.
