I had the same problem with all 3 of my Razr phones. After you select "download phonebook" and it disconnects, you use your cell phone to transfer each contact one at a time by selecting it, use options(or similar) select share or send or transfer(depending on your phone), then it make ask you how,ie.e-mail,internet,bluetooth, select bluetooth, then it will either search for bluetooth device or list all the ones you have connected with, select pioneer unit. Then it will send the contact by connecting and disconnectinting, then repeat for each one...it took me a week to figure that out.

I got a solution:

Used hardware:

Pioneer DEH-P65BT
Jailbroken!! Iphone 3g FW: 3.1.2.
Mac or PC (addressbook on Mac or Outlook on Win)

Steps:

- Sync your contacts trough Itunes with your PC or Mac
- Go to addressbook on Mac (or Outlook on win) and export all your contacts to a vcf file (Called Vcards in addressbook)
- Copy the vcf file to your Iphone (iphoneExplorer / SSH / DiskAid or other solution)
- Download iBluetooth (I used it from the Xsellize source)
- Set up you radio to PhoneBook Transfer (Your phone is not connected to the radio at this point)
- In iBluetooth browse to the VCards.vcf and send it to the Pioneer unit.
- It now says transfer done and the phonebook is stored.

Posted this because it took me days to get it working. Haven't found a working solution on the net.

Also transfering the phonebook from another phone isn't a solution because however the phonebook will be stored it won't be usable by your iphone. The pioneer registers the phonebook to a device so it's absolutely necesarry to transfer it from the actual iphone (or send it from a laptop with a spoofed BT-Mac that matches your iphone)

Good luck!

- Cedrick

Lots of older phones will not allow you to use all of the Bluetooth features offered by the Avic-d3. I upgraded to the HTC Touch from the LG-PM325 and all features work fine. Make sure after you connect the phone, you register it also. Also try using the Beam function if your phone has it.

The phone must be disconnected before you can transfer your phone book. I know it is hard to imagine, but it worked for me this morning. I disconnected my Blackberry 8310, did a phone book transfer and it worked.

After i paired a bluetooth headset with my Nokia E5, it disconnects / connects every 30 - 45 secs. When I make a call or listen to music when bluetooth is connected the line crackles so much that you...

some units cannot handle blue tooth. Check to make sure yours is blue tooth capable. If it is, check your settings both security and blue tooth to ensure there is no conflict. Also check the headset for compatability ratings. Sometimes that is why there is interference.

HOW TOCONNECT BLUETOOTH

Hi,

It all depends. When you want to connect a blue tooth to a phone, You will need to switch on the blue tooth device and the phones blue tooth you are pairing with.

When pairing both device, you will ask for pairing code, You four digit numbers(default code(0000). and pair.

After pairing both device, you detected paired, you can now use the blue tooth device with your phone.

there are no special code for pairing Blue tooth device.
Normal codes used are any four digit, four numbers you want to use.(0000, 1234).

Take care.

My c261 problem

HI there,

  1. You have to set both unit blue tooth configuration settings.
  2. Turn On the blue tooth for each unit
  3. Make or initialize pairing on the unit that will send the data.
  4. The other end(cellphone) has to accept the connection invitation from your cellphone.
  5. It will ask a password, you can input a 1234 or just leave it blank if you don't want to use a passkey.
  6. After you have done the pairing, select the file you want to transfer.
  7. Select Option >> Send >> Via Blue tooth.
  8. Select the paired cellphone you connected via blue tooth that you have DO on steps 3.
Hope this initial info helps.

Just let me know for further instructions.

Phone Book Transfer Nokia N70 - Blackberry 9000

Syncronization! The Nokia phone will not just easily transfer or sync the contacts to your Black Berry because they are running on 2 different softwares.

In order for you to transfer all the contacts to your Black Berry is through synchronization

The Nokia N70 came with a CD called the Nokia PC Suite. And Black Berry should have a sync software.

What are the things you need:
1. Computer
2. Nokia N70
3. Black Berry phone
4. Nokia PC Suite CD
5. Black Berry sync software

How:
1. Install the Nokia PC suite to the computer.
2. Connect the Nokia N70 to the computer.
3. Export all the Contacts from Nokia N70 to your computer (refer to the manual)
4. Once the contacts are saved in your computer, disconnect the Nokia and connect your Black Berry.
5. Run the sync software of Black Berry and import the Contacts that are saved in the computer going to your Black Berry (refer to the manual of Black berry).

This is hiow to transfer the contacts from one phone to another.

I would also suggest to contact Nokia so that you will have a clearer idea on how to do it.

Good luck!

Blue tooth phonebook

The unit does not save the phone book, it loads it each time your bluetooth phone is in contact with it. To verify this, turn off the bluetooth phone, then try to access the phone book in the GPS unit. It should not come up.
