Business cards won't line up

Just broke a tab on my Lexmark printer/scanner which I've been using for yrs.
Replaced it with HP4140 and now my PrintMaster created business cards won't print correctly. I've realigned page over & over but it keeps printing the cards on the very top edge. I've readjusted any/all settings in PM numerous times. I called HP today, but of course they assure me there are no compatibility issues nor driver issues. I've been using my PM software for yrs with no problems until having to replace the printer! Any suggestions?
Buy new software maybe?

    I've tried another template - no dice. Like I said, PrintMaster Gold 4.0 (old) worked perfectly with my Lexmark. What might have changed by hooking up an HP printer? Does anyone know of any compatibility issues? I'm thinking of returning the HP printer & going back to a Lexmark - or maybe upgrading my PrintMaster program.
    That or drive over this HP with my car a few times...

    I just purchased a HPPhotosmart C4440 I love the prints coming out of it but I can't get business cards to print either. I'm going to go out on the internet and look for a solution to this-but till then if anyone has some help besides buying Lexmark let me know! Thanks! :0) "Tippy"

I have just purchase a HP Photosmart C4440 and love the prints. I also have the same problem with business cards not printing correctly. I am going to go out on the internet and search for a solution to this problem but till then if anyone has any ideas to help its greatly appreciated! Thanks-"Tippy"

    Well after trying 3 HP printers I gave up on this one. I found others online facing the same problem with their HP printers, but no clear solution or explanation. I called HP today. Technical support confirmed that there are many of their printers that "will not" print a business card. It is not a compatibility issue, but rather a capability issue. The tech I spoke with said that the HP website is the perfect place to shop for a printer that is capable of producing a business card on business card stock. One model he suggested was the HP C7280. It is more than I want to spend on a printer right now. Sorry I have nothing to offer in the way of a solution - I went out and purchased my first Lexmark. Prints the business cards just fine. Print quality isn't as good as the HP but it will suit my needs. Tippy

    i have print master 15 works great on my lexmark hp printers do have alot of issues lexmark made nice 30 bucks all in one also at wallmart nice i would do both

INVALID SCANNER CODE error
I have the same issue, It just means to update the firmware. so far, i haven't got it to work after the firmware update. I laready replaced mainboard and scanner control board. lexmarp suggest to replaced the whole flatbed scanner.

The top left "hinge" won't seat, therefore the top feed can't be used to fax, scan or copy.
It's possible that the hinge of the scanner cover broke. If that's the case, you won't be able to scan from the ADF (Auto Document Feeder). If the printer is still under warranty, please call our technical support team to have the printer replaced.

Check your System scanner application is running. Open the End Task manager select the tab process and see there may be scanner.exe is there select that one and click end task.

Cover tab broken on Lexmark X3470
Have you recovered the tab? All the tab does is interrupt a sensor beam between 2 points. Either glue it back on (epoxy or super glue, use sparingly on one side then apply and hold down until it sets, about a min. or tape a popsicle stick into the area where the tab rested. First feel around with the stick in the area until the printer responds. then fix it there.
