Purchased a brand new emerson 32" LCD HDTV LC320EMXF and can't find a code that works to program the DirectTV remote. The tv is for my 85 year old mother that can only handle using 1 remote. Please help
I got the same TV for my stepdaughter and had the same problem. None of the Emerson codes worked. We use Dish Network but I did the autoscan thing on the remote and found that it was 672 which is listed as a Sylvania. I don't know if it will help in your case but maybe try the Sylvania codes. Yes,1. hold the clear TV button down until the 4 other clear buttons lights up. 2. Release the TV button. 3.press the numbers 672. 4. Press the # button at bottom right remote. 5. Press the SAT button to remove scrolling icon. Then try your volume.
That should do it for Dish black and silver #1 remote 20.0 IR ( infer red) near receiver. The second remote ( bed room) should be on UHF.

Check to see if your still under warrenty, and have the reciept....if so- call it in and they will send you a new remote or tv in about a week.
Neither 672 nor 00672 codes worked. This is bad advice.
