I'm trying to find a wireless headset that I can use with my home phone (land line, cordless phone). I know I'll probably have to also purchase a new cordless home phone to make this work, but that's ok since my existing home phones are starting to ''**** out'' anyway.
My biggest question that I can't seem to find an answer to anywhere: Is there any way I could use my Bluetooth headset for this purpose? Several land-line cordless phones are now listed as ''Bluetooth Enabled''. (for example: VTech - DECT 6.0 Cordless Phone System Model: DS6321-3). But the description of this Bluetooth feature makes it sound like the only thing it does is allow you to make cell phone calls using the handset of your cordless land-line phone (when your cell is connected to the base unit of the cordless phone, via Bluetooth connection).
Or do I absolutely have to buy a wireless headset designed exclusively for use with a land-line phone? These headsets tend to be expensive and I would need an over-the-ear headset (only a few are on the market, priced $80 and up). The headsets using the over-the-head bands always give me bad headaches.
It doesn't say anywhere in the technical details for these Bluetooth enabled phones that a Bluetooth headset can be used for regular calls that use your land-line connection.
Any suggestions?
