likely coincidental timing with a hardware failure likely with the cooling of the unit. if you suspect halo 3 downloaded something you can delete data from the hard drive in dahboard/my xbox/system settings/memory clear out halo 3 data or perhaps wipe/format the whole drive. more than likely the unit is overheating, try moving it to a clearer area, try pointing a fan at it (experiment with placement of the unit and any active cooling you apply) and see if the problem clears. try to clean any dust you can from the unit especially in the ventilation areas.

This sounds similar to what happened to me, except I couldn't load some multiplayer maps.

If you know someone that recently bought Halo 3,(within a week) ask him/her to return it with your defective game in the case. He/she will receive a new unopened Halo 3, and you can take your friend's recently opened copy of Halo 3.

If you don't want to be cheapskate, you can borrow Halo 3 from a friend, and save it on your hard drive. After that, you can use your defective disc just to play the game. Unfortunately, if you save it on your hard drive, it supposedly makes the game slower when searching for multiplayer matches online, and other things.

If you don't care about saving money, you could buy another copy of Halo 3.

You might have a spanish version of the game but the only way to rule out that it is not your xbox console is to try it on a different console.

Best thing is to take the game into a store and ask them to check it.

This will confirm whether you have a Spanish game version PLUS they might be able to exchange this the correct one. If this isn't possible, take it back to where you originally bought it and exchange it with them.

the only way i know to clear the hdd is to do it manualy from the dashboard.

mabey your hard drive screwed up or your not saving them.

i have the same problem. try adjusting the pots and clean the lens. i might work. in my case a games start working. but i have ordered a new laser lens online. still havn`t got it. i think that will solve the problem

some time your laser is a little wack but if you are haven trouble like that then send it to repair and youll get a new xbox so it works out for you.. or just buy the 29.99 warranty on your box and get a 350.00 new box in 2 weeks. i did that once wen i still had warranty on it so.

I would take it back for a new one...

Rats. Sorry to hear that. If your Xbox360 is still under warranty then you can call 1-800-4MY-XBOX and arrange to have it fixed.

This is a common problem and some people even choose to replace the DVD drive to reduce the noise while the console is operating.

is this limited addition halo 3?
get a new one or find a place where you can get it fixed but there are not alot of places to get it fixed.im sorry im the barer of bad news.
